Bayou Solunar
· v1.0.0
About
Is right now a good time to be fishing or hunting — and when is the next good window? Bayou Solunar answers that on your wrist in two seconds, with no phone and no network.
THE ANSWER SCREEN
• One word — PRIME, GOOD, FAIR, SLOW, or QUIET — for how good right now is
• A countdown to the end of the current feeding window, or to the start of the next one, with its clock time
• A 24-hour dial of your whole day: thick arcs are major periods, thin arcs are minors, the green dot is now
• Moon phase, day-quality dots (4 dots = new or full moon), and barometric pressure with a trend arrow — a green falling arrow means the pre-front bite is on
REAL ASTRONOMY, FULLY OFFLINE
Major and minor periods are computed on the watch from the moon's actual transits, rises, and sets for your GPS position — no lookup tables, no internet. Verified against 141 US Naval Observatory reference times across a full year and three latitudes; worst error under one minute. Your last GPS fix is cached, so the app is useful the moment it opens.
ONE-BUTTON CATCH LOG
Press START to log a catch with wet hands — it snapshots the time, position, pressure, moon phase, and solunar rating. Press START again to mark it a harvest. Over a season, the log tallies how many of your catches landed in major windows, minor windows, or outside — your own evidence for whether the windows earn their keep.
ALSO INCLUDED
• Today's window schedule with sunrise and sunset
• Barometer page: 3, 6, and 12-hour pressure trend from the watch's own sensor
• A glance that shows the current window and countdown without opening the app
No account, no subscription, no data leaves the watch.
