TACTIX — Digital Tactical Watch Face A tactical-style digital watch face for Garmin AMOLED and MIP devices. Up to 110 selectable fields per slot, automatic color thresholds, world map with GPS pin, OpenWeatherMap integration, and AOD (Always On Display) support. LAYOUT — From top to bottom: header field (e.g., MGRS, location, lat/lon); a left column with weather icon plus SUN IN or SET IN time; a weather block with current condition (COND) and 4 configurable fields (defaults like TEMP, HUM, MIN T, S RISE, MAX T, S SET); the central time HH MM with seconds and one extra field; a date row with day name, week number (CW) and days-in-month (MAX); a row with 3 configurable bottom fields; and a footer with world map plus GPS dot or another configurable field. Two optional vertical side bars on the edges show progress for any metric. LABELS — In compact slots, long labels are abbreviated automatically. HUMIDITY shows as HUM, PRESSURE as PRES, VISIBILITY as VIS, CLOUDS as CLDS, PRECIPITATION as PRCP, RESPIRATION as RESP, FLOORS as FLR, BATTERY as BATT, ALTITUDE as ALT, DISTANCE as DIST, CALORIES as CAL, RECOVERY as REC, LOCATION as LOC, NOTIFICATIONS as NOTIF, SUNRISE as S RISE, SUNSET as S SET, MOON RISE as M RISE, MOON SET as M SET, TODAY MIN as MIN T, TODAY MAX as MAX T, NEXT SUN EVT as NEXT. Other labels are already short. AUTO-COLOR THRESHOLDS — Optional. When enabled, values are tinted green, yellow, orange, red, violet or blue based on standard meaning. Battery, Body Battery, SpO2 and similar metrics turn red when low. Heart rate, Stress and Resting HR turn red when high. Recovery time turns red when long. Pressure turns red on storm risk (under 985 hPa). Visibility turns red below 1 km. Precipitation chance and Rain or Snow rate turn red when high. Humidity is green in the 40 to 60 percent comfort band and shifts toward red at extremes. Solar intensity is green when high. UV uses the standard scale where 11 and above is VIOLET (extreme). AQI uses 5 levels where 5 is VIOLET. Wind is colored by Beaufort scale, with gale force or higher in VIOLET. Temperature is mapped on Celsius natively (regardless of display unit) and turns BLUE below 0 C, green up to 25 C, then yellow, orange, red on hot extremes. ASTRO COLORS — Sunrise is yellow, sunset is orange, moonrise and moonset are light blue. Next sun event takes the color of the upcoming event. Goal-based fields (Steps, Floors, Calories, Active Minutes) turn green when 100 percent of the daily goal is reached, yellow at half, orange below half. The big weather icon at top-left is colored by current temperature, using the same scheme. WEATHER — Two providers: Garmin Weather (built-in, free, no setup) or OpenWeatherMap (requires a free API key, gives more data including moon, AQI, UV index, visibility, dew point, etc.). The selected provider is used for all weather-related fields and for the icon condition. The API key: OpenWeatherMap requires a free subscription. The free tier allows 1,000 calls per day (60 per minute), far more than the watch face needs — at the default 15-min refresh that's just 96 calls per day. Sign up at openweathermap.org and paste your key into the settings. OWM AQI - https://openweathermap.org/api/air-pollution?collection=environmental OPTIONS — Settings include separate colors for foreground, icons, background, layout lines, side bars, and the GPS map dot. Pick wind unit (m/s, km/h, mph, knots) and pressure unit (mmHg, mbar, inHg). Choose a secondary timezone for the UTC clock field. Toggle the left column event between Sun and Moon. Pick the footer to show either the world map or a configurable field. Switch AOD mode between time-only (low power) or full screen with anti burn-in mask. 1.3.0 - New Garmin metrics via Complications — Added Training Status (shown in the header, e.g. "Productive"), Weekly Run Distance and Weekly Bike Distance (in any field slot, km or miles per your watch setting), and Sleep Score (0–100, color-coded). Stress now reads Garmin's live complication value (updated every second while the watch is awake), with sensor history as a fallback. Also added Hours Color and Minutes Color 1.2.8 - added Battery in Days 1.2.7 - Force Date in English option added 1.2.6 - added DND label 1.2.0 - added themes in settings 1.1.5 - Fixed missing/empty squares appearing in the date display for users in non-English locales.
