About

Gym Workout Tracker turns your Garmin watch into a focused strength-training companion. Send a plan from GymApp or start a Free Workout on the watch, then log sets from your wrist. SAVING AND SYNC A phone is not required during training. The watch independently records and saves a Garmin FIT strength activity, even when no sets were logged manually. FIT activities sync to Garmin Connect through the normal Garmin device sync. Detailed exercises, weights, reps, sets and set metrics are transferred separately to the paired GymApp for Android or iOS. The same GymApp account must remain signed in, and the workout must contain at least one logged set. The GymApp web tracker can send plans to the watch, but it does not receive completed workouts directly from the watch. SETUP Android: sign in to GymApp, prepare a workout and select Sync plan to Garmin. iOS: open Profile → Settings → Account, privacy & deletion → Paired watches. Use Connect this iPhone to Garmin for direct detailed-result return. Cloud plans are separate: select an existing cloud-watch row or, for a watch not yet paired to GymApp cloud, choose Pair a brand-new watch and copy its one-time token into Cloud Token. In the plan editor select Sync plan to Garmin; on the watch choose CLOUD / SYNC. Web/PWA: 1. Sign in at https://gymapptracker.com. 2. From Today, choose Edit plan or Create manually, then select Sync Plan to Watch. 3. During first pairing, copy the one-time token into the Connect IQ setting named Cloud Token. Treat it like a password. 4. Open the watch app. If the plan does not appear, select CLOUD / SYNC. Pairing is optional for local FIT recording, but required for GymApp plans and detailed workout transfer. During sync, keep the phone nearby with Bluetooth and internet enabled and Garmin Connect running. Direct phone transfer and Cloud Token are separate; do not create a duplicate cloud device for a directly paired watch. Queues and retries stay bound to the account, Garmin app identity and watch. FEATURES - Free and planned workouts; log sets in any exercise order - Saving a set keeps the selected exercise active - Plans suggest the next target only for the selected exercise - Weight, rep and set logging - Live time, heart rate, heart-rate zone and calories - Configurable weight step, reps and rest duration - Rest countdown with vibration - Restart-safe active-workout storage designed for longer sessions - Persistent phone-transfer queue with automatic and manual retry - Touch and physical button controls - Offline use after a plan arrives - First-run tutorial; replay it later from Settings - Adaptive layouts, including compact support for Forerunner 55 and ForeAthlete 55 where listed GARMIN CONNECT AND GYMAPP Garmin Connect receives the FIT activity and supported metrics such as duration, heart rate and calories. Exercise names, weights, reps, completed sets and GymApp set metrics are transferred separately to GymApp and may not appear as individual strength sets in Garmin Connect. CONTROLS UP / DOWN: move selection LEFT / RIGHT: change values START / SELECT: open or confirm BACK / LAP: go back or open workout options MENU: pause and options CLOUD / SYNC: download cloud plan UNDO: remove the latest completed set SAVE & EXIT: save FIT activity and exit DISCARD: exit without saving SAVE & EXIT is FIT-first: the watch saves the local FIT activity before detailed GymApp transfer can be acknowledged. A failed upload never removes the locally saved FIT activity. A failed FIT save does not close the workout, so you can retry without losing the active session.
