**AFL Scores: A Garmin App for Footy Fans** This app was built for a simple reason: checking AFL scores on a watch is easier than digging a phone out of your pocket. It’s designed specifically for Garmin devices to provide quick access to live scores, schedules, and standings. **Key Features** • Live Updates: Scores refresh automatically every 30 seconds during live games. • Favorite Team: Set your team in the settings to keep their matches pinned to the top of the list and visible in your Glance. • My Team: Quickly check your last 5 results, the next 5 upcoming matches and the ladder details for your favourite team. • Complete Coverage: View the full AFL and AFLW season round-by-round, including detailed match info like goals, behinds, and venue details. • Ladders: Full standings including premiership points and percentages. • On-Device Settings: You can toggle "Spoiler Mode," change display preferences, or update your favourite team directly on the watch. No need to open the Garmin Connect app on your phone. **Usage & Tips** • Getting Started: On most Garmin models, you can launch the app by holding the Menu button. • Connectivity: Your watch needs an active internet connection (via your phone or Wi-Fi) to pull the latest data. If you see a "couldn't load games" error, it's usually a sync or connection issue. • Quick Launch: You can configure the app to open directly to the current round, the full schedule, or the ladder depending on what you use most. **Compatibility • Developed and tested on the Forerunner 965 and Venu 3s. It should work on most modern Garmins, though UI scaling might vary slightly on very small screens. **A Note on the Data** • A big thanks to Max Barry and the Squiggle API for providing the data that makes this app possible. **Feedback** • If you run into bugs or have a specific feature in mind, feel free to reach out. Version 1.5.1 NOTE: If after updating the app you have no glance available, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the application. This will then allow you to use the glance feature Features * Glance support! See live scores or your next upcoming game directly on your watch face without opening the app. Set your favourite team in settings and the glance will prioritise their game. * Added a My Team view to view previous games, upcoming games and ladder position. * New schedule view. Browse the full season round by round - tap any round to see every game, and tap a completed game to see the full scorecard. The schedule opens focused on the current round so you're never hunting. * New ladder view. See the current AFL standings with full stats per team - wins, losses, comp points and percentage. * Watch-side settings. Settings have moved onto the watch - no more digging through the Garmin Connect app. Spoiler mode, show images, simple styling, and favourite team are all configurable directly from the app. * Favourite team setting. Set your team and they'll always appear at the top of the games list and be prioritised in the glance. * Quick Launch. Set the app to open straight to Current Round, Schedule or Ladder so you get to the content you care about in one tap. Bugfixes * Resolved finals games crashing the app * Back navigation now correctly returns you to the AFL menu from all screens instead of jumping past it. * When AFLW isn't in season the competition selector no longer appears unnecessarily - back exits the app cleanly. * General code maintenance and navigation improvements.
