About

Shot Clock is the premier PAR timer for Garmin watches, built specifically for shooting sports where a course of fire must be completed within a fixed time limit. Trusted by competitors, match officials and clubs in more than 70 countries, Shot Clock has been refined through years of real-world competition to deliver reliable, accurate timing when every second counts. A PAR timer does not detect gunshots. Instead, it provides precise timing sequences for training and competition, allowing you to focus on your shooting rather than watching the clock. Shot Clock includes built-in timing sequences for many popular disciplines, including WA1500/PPC1500, Australian Service Pistol, ISSF, NPA Pistol, Bullseye and Precision Rifle Series. If your preferred match isn’t included, you can easily customise an existing sequence or create your own for local competitions, club variations or personal training. Key Features • Built-in Match Sequences Ready-to-use timing sequences for a wide range of popular shooting disciplines, with the flexibility to customise existing sequences or create your own from scratch. • Custom Time Sequences Design timing sequences for dry-fire practice, holster drills, rifle training or any other activity requiring accurate interval timing. Shot Clock is as useful on the range as it is for countless other timed activities. • Flexible Timer Modes Count up or count down, with time displayed in either minutes or seconds to suit your preferred shooting discipline and training style. • Hands-Free Gesture Start Start the timer with a simple wrist gesture by rolling your wrist twice in succession. This unique feature has become a favourite with Precision Rifle Series competitors, allowing the timer to start without touching the watch. • Pre-Start Delay (Plus Mode) Configure a delay of 1 to 10 seconds before the main timing sequence begins. Ideal for turning target events, this allows you to start the timer as the targets turn away, giving you time to settle into position and prepare before the firing period begins. • Touch Guard Prevent accidental timer starts and stops by requiring a deliberate double tap to operate the timer. Perfect when handling magazines, speed loaders, firearms or other equipment before a match. • Haptic Feedback Receive discreet vibration alerts at key points during the timing sequence, helping you stay focused on the target without needing to constantly check your watch. • Garmin Activity Recording Record your shooting session as a Garmin activity to capture heart rate, steps and other fitness metrics in Garmin Connect alongside your training. Whether you’re competing at a major championship, practising on your local range or refining your skills at home, Shot Clock delivers dependable timing that’s trusted by shooters around the world. Shot Clock is part of the growing Shot Clock family of shooting sports applications, with companion apps for iPhone and Android coming soon. What's new

v2.0.3 - Added support for Fenix 9 Full release notes: https://shotclock.au/docs/releasenotes • Shot Clock Portal: build and edit time sequences, DOPE Cards and Notes at shotclock.au/portal, then sync them directly to your watch. • DOPE Cards: store distance, elevation and windage for each target, with a symbol and colour per entry and up to five named wind brackets. Focus View shows one entry with a live timer, while Stage View shows five at once with the elevation value enlarged and emphasised for quick reference. • Notes: create and sync notes to your watch, then view them using five selectable font sizes or automatic sizing. Font size can be changed with a single button press while reading. • Public Release: Portal, DOPE Cards, Notes and Target Timer have now left private beta and are available to everyone, with no unlock or sign-up required. • Improved Gesture Start: more consistent double-roll recognition, far fewer false starts from normal wrist movement, and timing compensation for the movement itself so the clock does not start late. • Continuous AMOLED Backlight: on supported AMOLED watches, the display can remain lit throughout the countdown at low brightness, increasing around the start, stop and each alert. • Reorganised Settings: settings are now grouped under Controls, Display & Alerts, Other Systems and More. No settings or features have been removed. • Track Activity: previously called Record Activity. Each timer start now creates a lap in Garmin Connect, providing per-string timing and heart-rate information. • Expanded Backup & Restore: backups now include DOPE Cards and Notes as well as time sequences. • Buttons-Only Mode: touchscreen control can now be disabled completely. • Target Timer Support: control a compatible Target Timer directly from the watch over Bluetooth, with no phone required. The watch must be armed before each run, and arming automatically clears after that run. • New app icon. • iPhone and Android: Shot Clock companion apps are coming shortly, with direct Bluetooth syncing to your Garmin watch. Compatibility DOPE Cards, Notes and Portal require Garmin’s modern font renderer and are not available on Approach S50, Descent G2, fēnix 6 Pro/6S/6X Pro, Forerunner 255, Instinct 3 AMOLED, Venu Sq 2 or vívoactive 4/4S/5. Target Timer support is available on every supported Shot Clock watch.
