About
Exo puts a customizable instrument panel on your wrist without feeling crowded. A minute scale runs around the edge, a segmented goal ring sits above the clock, and two round dials, three data cells and a bottom strip display the information you choose.
Everything except the date can be customized. Choose from 18 data fields, ten accent colours or your own hex code, and three layouts: Full Panel, No Weather Strip or Time First. The minute scale, captions and seconds can each be switched on or off.
Available fields include heart rate, steps, battery, calories, distance, floors, intensity minutes, notifications, Body Battery, stress, altitude, barometer, temperature, sunrise, sunset, respiration, recovery time and Pulse Ox. Unsupported fields show a placeholder instead of disappearing.
Body Battery and stress are read directly from the watch’s sensor history, making them available on more supported devices. Distance, altitude and temperature follow the watch’s individual unit settings, while 12- and 24-hour time follow the system setting.
Press and hold a dial, data cell, goal ring or bottom strip to open the matching Garmin view. Long-press navigation requires Connect IQ 4.2 or later.
Exo is designed for both AMOLED and memory-in-pixel displays. AMOLED models use scalable fonts and a dedicated always-on view showing only the clock and date in dim grey. The content shifts slightly each minute to reduce burn-in and uses approximately 3.3% illuminated pixels on a 454 px display.
Settings include:
• Layout: Full Panel, No Weather Strip or Time First
• Goal ring: Off, steps, floors, intensity minutes or battery
• Left and right dial: Any field or off
• Left and right cell: Any field or off
• Bottom strip: Weather, any data field or hidden
• Accent colour: Ember, rust, lime, blue, red, yellow, purple, pink, steel, white or custom hex
• Units: Follow watch, metric or imperial
• Date format: TUE 21 JUL, TUE JUL 21 or TUE 21 07
• Seconds, minute scale and captions: Individually enabled or disabled
Supported languages: English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Czech and Russian. Weekday and month names follow the language of the watch.
Privacy: Exo reads activity, heart-rate, sensor-history and weather data only to display it on the watch face. Nothing is stored or transmitted, and the app requests no network or Communications permission. SensorHistory is used for Body Battery, stress and barometer data. ComplicationSubscriber is used for recovery time, Pulse Ox and long-press navigation.
