About

Bolet Power is a high accuracy Virtual Power Meter that allows you to see and record how much power you are expending on the bike. The main goal of this Data Field is to manage and filter the available dynamics data (speed, cadence and altitude) in order to obtain the Power Value as close to the real as possible (+/- 5% compared with real Favero Assioma Power Meter). The visual interface has been kept as simple as possible and follows the Edge devices style for a good integration. The Data Field shows 4 values simultaneously and for each of them, 2 options can be selected: 1) 5s / 10s Averaged Power in order to know the instant Power. 2) Lap / 30 s Averaged Power in order to know the sustained Power during an interval. 3) Average / Normalised Power in order to know the sustained Power during the whole activity. 4) Power Zone / Slope in order to know the magnitude of the effort compared to your FTP or the terrain slope (quicker response than Garmin default calculation). Device Configuration: - Recording sampling needs to be set at 1s - GPS + Galileo positioning offer the most accurate results - Cadence sensor is not mandatory, but recommended. User parameters configuration: - Air drag coefficient: Resistance to the air value that depends on your riding position. - Total frontal area: including bike and rider in m2. - Bike Mass: Weight of your bike in kg. - Equipment mass: Weight of your equipment (including water, tools, etc.) in kg. - Rolling resistance coeficient: specific for the combination of tires / terrain. - Transmission efficiency. - Temperature: Air temperature (average expected for the whole ride, in case of changing value) in ºC - FTP_POWER: Your Functional Threshold Power, obtained in a specific test or in a previous ride in W.
