v1.5.1 • Fixed: Pressing DOWN on the GPS search screen no longer shows hardcoded demo pubs. DOWN now uses your cached location or shows "No last position found" if none exists. • Fixed: Helper text on the GPS search screens no longer overflows the watch face on small round devices (fr265s, fr255s, and similar). • Direction screen redesigned: red compass arrow, pub name with safe-width truncation, distance in orange, address shown below distance. All text stays within the circular screen on every supported device. PubFinder v1.4 – What's New All-new GPS startup experience The app now guides you step by step while finding your location, instead of showing a plain spinner with no context. Screen 1 (0–20 s): Pulsing orange sonar rings with "Finding your location". Explains that it takes 10–30 seconds outdoors. Screen 2 (20–45 s): Slowly bouncing satellite icon. Suggests moving away from buildings and trees. A "Use last known location" button appears only if a cached position less than 10 minutes old is available. Screen 3 (45+ s, no signal): Stick figure walking outside with a sun. Three clear tips. Large orange Retry button. Screen 4 – Stale position detected: If the app finds a saved position that is between 10 minutes and 4 hours old, an orange warning triangle is shown with the exact age ("Last position: 35 min ago") and the last known area. You choose whether to search for fresh GPS or use the old position anyway. Screen 5 – Location found! A green checkmark pops in for 1.5 seconds, then the app transitions automatically to the pub list. No tap required. Persistent location warning If you choose to use a stale position, a yellow " Old location" banner is shown at the top of every screen until a fresh GPS fix arrives. It disappears automatically the moment live GPS is acquired. Plain-language errors Technical error codes are gone. Every failure now tells you what happened and why: No internet → "No internet connection — Open Garmin Connect on your phone" Server issue → "Service temporarily unavailable — Try again in a moment" No bars found → "No bars found within 2 km — Try a wider radius in Settings" Every dead end has a button Any screen where something went wrong now shows a single clear orange action button ("Try again") so you always have one obvious next step. Full Norwegian / English language support All text in the app now follows your device language. Norwegian Bokmål and English are fully supported. No mixed-language screens. What's New in v1.3 Bug fixes & improvements: * Global coverage: finds bars and pubs anywhere in the world – works just as well in Tokyo, Berlin and Lisbon as it does in London or New York. • Extended search radius: choose between 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, 5 km and 10 km – two new options for quieter areas or when travelling. • GPS buffer: if the watch has no live GPS signal it automatically falls back to the last known position. A yellow warning is shown so you always know what the results are based on. • Stability fix: the BACK button could accidentally close the app while it was still searching. It is now blocked until GPS and network are ready. • Round display optimisation: all text, icons and highlights are now adapted to the watch's circular screen – nothing gets clipped at the edges anymore. • Radar fix: distance rings now show correct values when search radius is set to 5 km or 10 km.
