About

ComboPower estimates your running power and VO2max in real time — no external power meter required. How it works ComboPower combines three physics-based power components using your GPS speed, elevation, and heart rate: - Rolling resistance — your weight and pace - Air drag — your speed relative to the wind (set your local wind speed and direction as a field setting for more accurate results) - Climbing power — the current grade, with an efficiency correction for steep uphill/downhill The result is smoothed in real time and shown alongside your session and lap averages, plus a live VO2max estimate corrected for ambient temperature. What you see - POWER — current estimated power (W) - AVG P — session average power (W) - LAP P — lap average power (W) - VO2MAX — live VO2max estimate (ml/kg/min) After your activity Power and VO2max are written directly to your FIT file, so they show up in Garmin Connect and any FIT-compatible analysis tool. Setup Enter your weight in the data field settings (two fields: tens + ones digit, e.g. 7 and 2 for 72 kg) — that's it. No pairing, no external sensors. Please note ComboPower's power values are a physics-based *estimate* derived from GPS speed, elevation, and heart rate — not a direct force/torque measurement from a dedicated power meter. Accuracy depends on GPS signal quality and course conditions (tunnels, dense tree cover, or erratic GPS will affect the estimate).
