About

Ephemeris turns your watch into a daily almanac: a 24-hour solar dial showing the real arc of the sun and moon over your location, wrapped around a clean analog face with the data that matters day to day. THE SOLAR DIAL • The outer ring maps the full 24-hour day with noon at the top and midnight at the bottom — the sun marker arcs over the top of the dial exactly like the real sun: rises on the left, sets on the right. • Daylight and twilight bands are computed astronomically for your location, so the ring shows today's actual day length at a glance. The daylight arc is drawn heavier; white notches mark the exact sunrise and sunset points. • The next sun event with a countdown is written along the upper arc. • On solar models, a yellow halo grows around the sun marker with the current solar charging intensity. • The moon travels the same ring at its true position in the sky (from its right ascension), drawn with its live phase — new moon rides with the sun, full moon sits opposite. THE FACE • Analog hands with an always-on sweeping second hand (power-friendly 1 Hz partial updates). • Big digital time, plus the time written out in words. • Accurate moon phase rendered with a true elliptical terminator. • Current weather icon, with temperature, wind and humidity in perception colors (blue when freezing, red when hot). • Date, battery (fill turns red when low), steps with a goal arc, recovery hours and 7-day distance. • Your next calendar appointment for today, under the hub. GOOD TO KNOW • The solar dial needs a location: after installing, the ring stays neutral gray until the watch has a GPS fix — starting any outdoor activity briefly is enough. • Weather and calendar data come from your paired phone via Garmin Connect. • No settings page yet — options such as dial orientation are planned.
