About

Simple app that presents 3 dials showing the current compass heading, current speed, and current altitude. Swiping up/down cycles between the different dials. Tapping on the center of the compass will cause the reading to cycle between magnetic, true, or GPS. Note that the GPS reading is completely bogus unless you are traveling more than about 2MPH. Also, the magnetic declination to get the true heading can either be specified manually by the user or it can be automatically calculated based upon the GPS position. . The altitude gauge reads like an aviation altimeter: big hand indicates 10s, little hand indicates 1000s, and triangle on outer edge indicates 10,000s (altitude can be in feet or meters). Also, there is a low altitude cross hatch indicatior in the center of the display if you are below the ceiling altitude (user settable but defaults to 10,000 ft). The speedometer is similar to the altimeter except is has a single big hand indicatiing 10s of speed and a triangle on the outer edge showing the 100s of speed (speed can be either mph or kph). The settings menu (press and hold the back button) shows the current latitude/longitude, sets the units (either Imperial or Metric), shows the ceiling, and switches between automatic and manual magnetic declination. Ambit has a glance view that shows the current compass heading. The heading will be either magnetic or true based upon that last compass view that was used by the app. Manual available at https://www.n0ano.com/garmin/ambit.html
