Harmony of Japan: Sakura Watch Face
· v1.2
About
Turn every glance at your wrist into a moment of calm.
Harmony of Japan brings the timeless beauty of classical Japanese art to your Garmin: hand-painted scenes of Mount Fuji, drifting cherry blossoms, a five-story pagoda, and a torii gate rising from still water, rendered in traditional ukiyo-e style brushwork.
CHOOSE YOUR MOOD: 5 ART THEMES • Classic: warm parchment and vermilion under the rising sun • Night: moonlit indigo with silver blossoms and stars • Sakura: soft pink washes for cherry blossom season • Ink: quiet sumi-e monochrome • Dawn: golden morning light over the mountain
NEW: THE BRUSH STROKE PROGRESS RING A single dry-brush stroke sweeps the edge of the painting as you close your goal, painted in each theme's own ink so it reads as part of the artwork rather than a widget laid on top. Point it at whichever goal matters today: Steps • Floors Climbed • Body Battery • Stress • Pulse Ox • Intensity Minutes • Watch Battery Prefer the painting untouched? The stroke is off by default and stays off until you choose a goal.
THE SYMBOLS ON YOUR WRIST • Cherry blossoms: the beauty of the present moment • The rising sun: energy, renewal, and hope • Mount Fuji: strength, stability, and inspiration • Pagoda and torii gate: tradition, spirituality, and culture
YOUR STATS, YOUR CHOICE Four data slots, each individually customizable. Assign any of 21 stats to any slot: Steps • Floors Climbed • Heart Rate • Battery • Calories • Stress • Body Battery • Pulse Ox • Temperature • High/Low Temp • Weather • Sunrise • Sunset • Date • Weekday + Date • Altitude • Pressure • Intensity Minutes • VO2 Max Run • VO2 Max Bike • Wheelchair Pushes
Every stat has its own crisp icon, and a subtle mist is worked into the artwork behind your data so the numbers stay readable without covering the painting. Temperature and altitude follow your watch's own units (°C or °F, meters or feet), and the weather slot reports conditions in plain words: Clear, Cloudy, Rain, Snow, Storm, Haze, Windy, Hail.
MADE FOR YOUR GARMIN • Always-on display support with burn-in protection for AMOLED watches • 12/24-hour time, with optional forced 24-hour (military) format • Seconds shown while the screen is active • Three text sizes, so the stats suit your eyes and your wrist • Battery-friendly: sensor data refreshes once per minute, not every frame, and the progress stroke never lights up the always-on screen • Designed for both AMOLED and MIP displays across fēnix, epix, Forerunner, venu, vívoactive, enduro, MARQ, D2, and Descent
MORE WATCHES SUPPORTED This release adds vívoactive 5 and 6, Venu 4, Venu Sq 2, Venu X1, D2 Air X10, D2 Mach 1 and Mach 2, and the Descent G2 and Mk3 families. 54 devices in all.
EASY SETUP Change your theme, progress goal, text size, or data slots anytime, from your phone or right on the watch. In the Garmin Connect app, choose your device, then: Appearance - Watch Faces - Harmony of Japan - Settings. On the watch, hold the menu button on the watch face and open Settings.
Whether you're summiting a peak or catching a quiet moment between meetings, Harmony of Japan keeps your essential stats at a glance wrapped in art worth looking at.

What's new
NEW — BRUSH STROKE PROGRESS RING
A single dry-brush stroke now sweeps the rim of the painting as you close your goal, painted in your theme's own ink so it belongs to the artwork. Follow steps, floors, body battery, stress, pulse ox, intensity minutes, or watch battery: or leave it off, which is how it ships.
MORE WATCHES
Now on vivoactive 5 and 6, Venu 4, D2 Air X10, D2 Mach 1 / Mach 2 / Mach 2 Pro, and Descent G2 and Mk3.
SETTINGS ON THE WATCH
Change your theme, ring, text size, and data slots straight from the watch. No phone needed.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• The data column now measures itself against the curve of your screen, so values never run into the progress stroke: whatever your watch size or text size
• Temperature and altitude follow your watch's units (°C/°F, m/ft)
• Weather now reads in words: Clear, Cloudy, Rain, Snow, Storm, Haze, Windy, Hail
• Steps and calories show their exact count instead of rounding to 12.3K
• Fixed missing floors on watches that don't report them
