About

Every great RPG starts with a stat screen. Now yours does too. PixelDex turns your wrist into a living character sheet: a retro, 8-bit-inspired pixel art watch face with four shades of glowing neon green, chunky pixel numerals, and the unmistakable, nostalgic hum of a screen you grew up staring at under the covers with a flashlight. HP is your Body Battery. Your heart rate ticks by like a boss-fight timer. Every step you take writes itself into today's run. This isn't a dashboard. It's a save file, and you're the one leveling up. No walls of numbers. No clinical white screens. Just you, rendered the way you always pictured yourself: as the hero of your own game. Body Battery, heart rate, stress, recovery, steps, VO2 max, respiration, SpO2, live weather, all filtered through the same glowing pixel grid. Fully customizable: pick your palette from five backgrounds and five accent colors, and make the cartridge yours. PixelDex doesn't just show your vitals. It makes them feel like they matter. Insert coin. Press start. Go live your best run. Runs great on Forerunner 265, Venu 3, epix, and 35+ more round, AMOLED Garmin watches. HOW TO PLAY Seven screens live on your wrist: MAIN, HEALTH, RECOVERY, ACTIVITY, PERFORMANCE, VITALS, and WEATHER. Hold the left half of your screen to go back a page, hold the right half to go forward. No swiping, no tapping, just hold. Want to customize your build? Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone, find PixelDex under your watch's Connect IQ apps, and tap the settings icon. Pick your palette (5 backgrounds, 5 accent colors), choose what each stat slot shows, set your clock format, heart rate alert, and temperature unit, all from there. A NOTE ON YOUR STATS Some data points come straight from sensors or calculations that need time to catch up — seeing "--" or "LOCKED" at first isn't a bug, it's your watch still building the picture. SpO2 needs Pulse Ox enabled in your watch's sensor settings (All Day or During Sleep) and can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours for its first valid reading. Resting heart rate needs about a week of wear to establish Garmin's rolling average. VO2 Max unlocks after a qualifying outdoor run or ride with GPS and heart rate. PixelDex shows exactly what your watch has actually measured, nothing more, nothing less. ENJOYING THE RUN? If PixelDex earned a permanent spot on your wrist, a rating goes a long way. It's the fastest way to help the next runner find their own save file, and it tells us what to build next.

What's new

Fix: Body Battery bar (Recovery page) now correctly reflects the score. Added 3 devices (Instinct 3 AMOLED 45mm/50mm, Instinct Crossover AMOLED).
