HOW TO PLAY Seven screens live on your wrist: MAIN, HEALTH, RECOVERY, ACTIVITY, PERFORMANCE, VITALS, and WEATHER. Hold the left half of your screen to go back a page, hold the right half to go forward. No swiping, no tapping, just hold. Want to customize your build? Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone, find PixelDex under your watch's Connect IQ apps, and tap the settings icon. Pick your palette (5 backgrounds, 5 accent colors), choose what each stat slot shows, set your clock format, heart rate alert, and temperature unit, all from there. A NOTE ON YOUR STATS Some data points come straight from sensors or calculations that need time to catch up — seeing "--" or "LOCKED" at first isn't a bug, it's your watch still building the picture. SpO2 needs Pulse Ox enabled in your watch's sensor settings (All Day or During Sleep) and can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours for its first valid reading. Resting heart rate needs about a week of wear to establish Garmin's rolling average. VO2 Max unlocks after a qualifying outdoor run or ride with GPS and heart rate.
