Live Race Stats
· v0.6.1
About
Live Race Stats is a data field that shows your live standing during any timed
race - cycling, running, ski, kayak and more: your place, time gaps to the
competitors ahead and behind and to the leader, per-lap gap dynamics, and laps.
The values come from the race's timing site. It works out of the box with
universalbicycle.team - most riders only need their competition id and bib.
Event organizers who self-host the open-source timing system
(github.com/dchernykh1984/cycling-site) can point the field at their own server.
Try it: keep the default site, set Competition ID 259 and Bib number 1, and the
field will show sample data from a demo race.
Settings (in the Connect IQ phone app):
- Site URL: the timing site. Default universalbicycle.team; change only if your
event runs on another server.
- Competition ID: the numeric id in the race page URL, e.g. the 259 in
.../calendar/259/.
- Bib number: your start number.
- Rows and Row 1..10: how many metrics to show and which metric each row shows.
Show up to 10 metrics in a single field. On a full-screen data page it draws a
two-column grid like the native data screen; in a smaller slot it adapts to fit.
Each row is overall or group scope. Data refreshes in the background about every
5 minutes while your phone is connected. Localized in 10 languages.
Add the field to a data screen of your activity profile.
What's new
Round and smaller watch screens now display correctly.
On round devices (fenix, Forerunner, Approach, Venu, epix and similar) the metrics are laid out to follow the round screen edge, so labels and values are no longer cut off by the bezel. The field adapts to the screen shape, sizes the text to its slot, and shows as many rows as stay readable.
Edge bike computers are unchanged.
