Freeskates is a standalone activity recording app for drift skates, freeskates, inline skating, and urban cruising. It shows the key stats you need while riding: elapsed time, distance, current speed, average speed, max speed, heart rate, and Garmin heart rate zone. The app records your session as an activity using Garmin Activity Recording, so you can save your ride after finishing. Designed first for Garmin Instinct watches, with a clean high-contrast layout for quick glances during movement. All use the color round layout. - Fixed the no-subscreen layout branch: it now checks the runtime screen ## v0.0.4 — 2026-07-11 ### Recording Accuracy - Changed the displayed distance to use Garmin's activity-engine `Activity.Info.elapsedDistance` (metres) during recording instead of estimating distance by integrating instantaneous speed over time. This keeps the on-watch distance aligned with Garmin's GPS/sensor-fused activity data and avoids compounding speed-sample errors. - Distance remains frozen while the activity is paused or stopped. Missing or invalid distance readings are ignored so the last valid value stays visible.
