Manga Focus turns your wrist into a page of manga. A bold, hand-painted brush numeral tells the time at a glance over a full-colour ink illustration — dramatic where it counts, quiet everywhere else. Every stroke is original. The numerals are a custom brush-script typeface drawn as stroke paths, not a stock font, and each background is a detailed ink-and-screentone scene baked at your watch's native resolution. Every glyph is designed as stroke paths and rasterised for each screen size, so it stays crisp from a 240-pixel fēnix 7S to a 454-pixel fēnix 8 — nothing is scaled on the watch. MAKE IT YOURS Set it up on your wrist. Hold MENU on the watch face for the full settings menu, on every supported model: or use Garmin Connect on your phone. Both read and write the same settings, so they never drift apart. Accent colour: seven presets plus any custom colour, applied to the minute digits, the brush-stroke accent line and the data icons. Five data fields, each chosen from nineteen sources: steps, heart rate, battery, altitude, calories, distance, floors climbed, active minutes, notifications, alarms, Body Battery, stress, Pulse Ox, seconds, step goal, battery days, weekday, date and temperature. On watches with Garmin's own watch face edito, fēnix 8, fēnix E, Enduro 3, Forerunner 170, 570 and 970, Venu 4, vívoactive 6 and D2 Mach 2, the scene and accent colour can be set there too. BUILT RIGHT Always-on safe. On AMOLED watches the low-power display drops the artwork, dims every colour and walks the layout slowly around the screen, so nothing burns in. Second-by-second ticking on transflective (MIP) models, drawn in a tightly clipped update that stays inside the watch's power budget. Press and hold a data field to open the app behind it — heart rate, steps, Body Battery, calories and more. Private by design. It reads on-device sensor history for the Body Battery, Stress and Pulse Ox fields, and uses complication access only so press-and-hold can open those apps. No GPS, no internet, nothing leaves your watch. New scene: Ink City. A bold black-ink skyline against a halftone sky, drawn as a companion to Neon City and built to stay legible where colour cannot go. That makes five scenes. Now supported on fenix 9, fenix 9 Pro and fenix 9 Pro Solar, with backgrounds, brush numerals and icons rendered natively at each new screen size. Sharper on transflective (MIP) watches. Samurai and Great Wave now have artwork drawn specifically for four-level grayscale: a stronger profile, topknot and katana on Samurai, heavier foam strokes on the Wave. The background also stays visible around the time, with a fitted outline following the numerals instead of a broad black panel behind them. Complication icons have been rebuilt per display technology so they carry the same weight on both. Cleaner always-on display: the divider is gone and AM/PM sits back with the minutes.
