Install only one: each app pairs separately and adds its own key to the car. No remote account? Install WatchKey instead. Walk up and the watch talks to the car directly over Bluetooth — no phone, no internet, no Tesla account sign-in. From further away it switches to your own third-party service account and works over the cloud. Bluetooth controls (up close) - Lock and unlock - Front and rear trunk - Charge port open and close - Individual door control (vehicles with powered doors only) Walk-up unlocking Once paired, your watch answers the car's authentication beacons automatically, so the vehicle recognises you as you approach — the same way a Tesla phone key works. Remote controls (via cloud API) - Battery level, range and odometer - Inside and outside temperature, climate on/off and target temperature - Charging state, charging power, charge limit and time to full - Sentry mode - Cabin climate keeper: Keep, Dog and Camp mode - Tyre pressure for all four wheels (psi or bar) - Whether any window is open - Lock, unlock, frunk, trunk and charge port What the remote features need One of the following data sources, with the token entered in the phone settings page: - Tessie or Teslemetry — cloud services; an account with that company is required - TeslaMate — open-source software you host yourself. The URL and token are your own and no registration with anyone is needed. Read-only for now; commands are not supported Your watch must be connected to your phone, and the phone needs internet. Leave the token blank and the app simply works as a Bluetooth key. About data freshness Remote data comes from your provider's cache and may be a few minutes old. The top of the screen always shows how old it is (for example "12 min ago"); press Refresh when you want the latest. We don't pretend it is live. Some providers charge by usage, and waking a sleeping vehicle costs more — that is your provider's pricing, not a charge from this app. Built for the wrist - All Bluetooth work happens on the watch - Bluetooth features work with your phone out of reach or with no signal - Optional auto-close once you lock up and walk away - Store up to 3 vehicles and switch between them on the watch - Switch provider on the watch, or turn remote features off entirely Secure pairing Pairing requires tapping your physical NFC key card on the console and confirming on the car's screen, exactly like adding a Tesla phone key. The private key is generated on the watch and never leaves it. If pairing does not work A Tesla accepts only three Bluetooth connections at a time. The Tesla phone app holds one, another smartwatch holds another — once the slots are full, your Garmin cannot get in. If pairing stays on "Searching...", try these in order: 1. Temporarily turn off Bluetooth on your phone and on any other smartwatch (such as an Apple Watch) 2. Check that the car has not reached its key limit (car screen, Locks) 3. In the phone settings page, set "Bluetooth send interval" to 30, then set it back to 0 once pairing is complete Supported vehicles Model 3 and Model Y (all years), and Model S and Model X from 2021 onwards. Your vehicle must support Bluetooth phone key. Licensing A 24-hour free trial starts after your first successful pairing. Features resume once a licence is purchased.
