About

Like this watch face? Please consider leaving a review or sending me feedback directly, it really helps the development! Free during development period. Panel reads like the instrument cluster of a well-made machine. A big white seven-segment time sits high on a true-black screen, drawn in an authentic ghost-LCD style where every unlit segment stays faintly visible — exactly the way a real LCD panel looks. A dim, letter-spaced date line rides above it. Below sits a tidy two-by-two grid of instrument panels, each one framed and headed by its own colour-filled tab, each showing a hero value, a matching gauge and a quiet sub-label. One accent colour per panel; everything else stays calm and dark. A subtle bottom row keeps battery, phone connection and unread notifications in view without ever shouting. It is built to be glanced at, read in a second, and trusted. Every panel is yours. Each of the four slots takes any metric from a broad catalogue, and its tab label, hero value, gauge and sub-label all follow whatever you pick. Choose from heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate zone, Body Battery, stress, SpO2 and respiration; steps, floors, distance, active minutes, weekly intensity minutes, the steps, floors and intensity-minutes remainders to your goal, a move-bar reminder, ascent, descent, and total and active calories; a full live-weather suite of temperature, today's high and low, feels-like, humidity, precipitation, wind, UV index, dew point and the current condition; elevation, pressure, solar intensity, sunrise and sunset; plus battery, notifications and the date. Turn a slot off and its cell simply goes dark. The gauge shows where the value sits at a glance, and you choose its shape per panel: a segment bar, a needle dial or a segment ring — or leave it on Auto, which fits the gauge to the metric (a bar for the ones that accumulate, a needle for instrument scales, a ring for percent-of-target vitals). Theme the whole face with one of seven palettes — the signature Panel set that tier-colours your battery tab, Aurora, Ember, Mono, Ocean, Sunset or Berry — or override any single panel with one of eighteen accent swatches. Leave a panel on Auto and the palette colours it for you. The time and every readout are set in a custom-baked typeface, smoothly anti-aliased for clean, exact letterforms. The always-on display keeps the same ghost-LCD signature at a dimmed, burn-in-safe luminance, and you decide how much it shows: just the time, the time and date, or the time, date and battery. There are no ticking seconds, to spare your battery. Temperature honours your Celsius or Fahrenheit setting, distance your kilometres or miles, the clock your 12 or 24-hour preference, and you can switch the time separator and the 12-hour leading zero to suit your region. Quiet the bottom status row or the notification cue for an even calmer face. Every panel, gauge, colour and palette is yours to change — open the watch face's settings in the Garmin Connect IQ app on your phone to make Panel your own.

What's new

V1.2.0 - Please note: this update needs TWO NEW PERMISSIONS, which you must accept when you update — your Garmin complication data (for sleep score, VO2 max, recovery time and race predictions) and your location (for sunrise and sunset). As always, nothing leaves your watch. This update begins the full transitions from single items in complications to FULL panel displays. First phase has updated the following to be rich panels: Heart Rate, Total Calories, Steps, Body battery, Sunrise/sunset, Stress, Weather. For these you can no longer set a specific guage style. A much wider choice for the four panels, plus a live Garmin health-data feed. New readouts you can now drop into any panel: resting heart rate, heart-rate zone, the steps, floors and intensity-minutes goal remainders, weekly intensity minutes, a move-bar reminder, ascent, descent, active calories (estimate), today's high and low, dew point, solar intensity, VO2 max for running and cycling, recovery time, and race predictions for 5K, 10K, half and full marathon — plus sleep score on supported devices (newer watches) — and sunrise and sunset. Each carries its own crisp icon. V1.1.0 - Five new live-weather readouts you can drop into any of the four panels — Feels Like, Humidity, Precipitation, Wind and UV Index — each with its own crisp icon. Settings menus are now localised in more languages, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. V1.0.0 - First public release. A disciplined instrument-cluster face for AMOLED: a big ghost-LCD seven-segment time over a two-by-two grid of tab-headed instrument panels. Set each panel yourself — any metric from a full catalogue, one of eighteen accent colours, and a gauge you choose: bar, needle or ring — all on true black. Seven palettes, three-level burn-in-safe always-on, units and 12/24-hour that follow your watch. One on-device permission, nothing leaves the watch.
