Sail Tactics

SailTactics is a tool for finding wind shifts and evaluating how changes to trim impacts speed. Press upper right button (or tap screen) to set reference heading and the top arc will show if you have a lift or head. On starboard tack green is good (lifted) and red bad (headed). On port tack its the other way around. The arc represents +/- 15°. The app will try to calculate a new reference heading after each tack or gybe. Press lower right button to set reference speed. When a reference is set a graph with 10-15 bars each showing average speed over 60 seconds is drawn giving an idea of how well you are performing over time. An arc at the bottom of the screen shows current performance.
