Peak Days Live
· v1.1.0
About
Add Peak Days Live to one of your run screens and it does two things.
WHILE YOU RUN, it shows what the session is asking of you — the pace band for today's easy run, the band for the tempo block, or which rep you are on in an interval session. Not a status light. The number you are supposed to be running to, taken from the plan Peak Days built for you.
AFTER YOU RUN — and often during — it sends your run back to Peak Days: the full track, altitude, heart rate, cadence and speed, once a second. That is a far richer picture than Apple Health or Health Connect can pass on, and it means Peak Days can coach you on what you actually did rather than on a summary of it.
IT NEVER TOUCHES YOUR GARMIN RECORDING
A data field can only read. It cannot pause, stop, shorten or corrupt your activity. If everything about this field went wrong at once, your Garmin activity would still be perfect and still sync to Garmin Connect exactly as it does today. We can lose detail. We cannot lose your run.
NO PHONE? NO PROBLEM
Leave the phone at home. The field keeps the run in the watch's own memory and sends it later, on its own, once you are back in range — about seven hours of buffering, and it steps its own detail down gracefully rather than stopping when it fills. You do not have to open anything.
WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG, IT SAYS SO
The field replaces the target with a short, honest word only when there is something you can act on: no phone in range, no GPS fix all run, the buffer full, or a minute of the run that did not make it. Everything else stays out of your way.
SETUP TAKES ABOUT A MINUTE
Add the field to a run screen and start a run. Instead of a target it shows an eight-character code. Type that code into Peak Days on your phone, under Devices and connections → Garmin. Done — it turns into your target within a minute, and the run you were doing while you set it up is not lost.
WHAT YOU NEED
The Peak Days app on your phone, with a Peak Days account and a training plan. Without it there is no target to show and nowhere to send your run. Peak Days is free to try on iPhone and Android — currently in early access; install links at peak-days.com.
Its companion, Peak Days, is a device app that puts today's session and route ON your watch as a native Garmin workout and course. Install both for the round trip; each works on its own.
PRIVACY
This field reads your activity while it is running — position, altitude, heart rate, cadence and speed — and sends it to your own Peak Days account, and nowhere else. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never sent to a third party. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the Peak Days phone app at any time. What's new
First release. Your session target on the run screen while you run it, and the full run sent home once a second: track, altitude, heart rate, cadence, speed. Buffers about seven hours with no phone.
