About
**MERIDIAN Chrono** is an analog chronograph watch face inspired by professional sport timepieces, combining a classic three-sub-dial layout with an intelligent adaptive readiness system. Designed for Garmin runners and multisport athletes, it puts the data you need front and center — and makes your daily training readiness immediately visible without scrolling or tapping.
**ADAPTIVE MODES — KNOW YOUR READINESS AT A GLANCE**
MERIDIAN Chrono automatically switches between three modes based on your Body Battery level and recovery time. The active mode changes the color of the second hand, the outer Body Battery ring, and the right panel label simultaneously — giving you an instant, unambiguous visual status the moment you raise your wrist.
DAILY (red) — Body Battery is in a normal range. Everyday activity is fine, but hold back on intense training efforts.
READY (green) — Body Battery is high and no recovery time is detected. Your body is primed; go train hard.
RECOVERY (amber) — Garmin's recovery time is active. Rest, recover, and let the color remind you why.
The Body Battery threshold for switching to READY is user-configurable (default: 70). An advanced adaptive option further adjusts the threshold during a defined active time window, giving you the benefit of the doubt during your usual training hours. If you prefer full manual control, switch to Manual mode and assign each sub-dial independently from the settings menu.
**SUB-DIALS — 13 DATA TYPES, FULLY ASSIGNABLE**
Each of the three sub-dials (Top, Left, Bottom) can be independently assigned to display any of 13 metrics:
Heart Rate (BPM), Body Battery (BATT), Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Calories Burned (KCAL), Step Count (STEP), Stress Level (STRS), Readiness Score (RDY), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Floors Climbed (FLRS), Ambient Temperature (TEMP), VO2 Max (VO2M), Recovery Time in hours (RCVR), Notification Count (NTFY).
Each sub-dial displays a 270-degree gauge arc, a mini analog hand, a numeric readout, and a short label. Gauge maximum values can be set manually per dial or left on Auto for intelligent range scaling. Default assignment is Heart Rate (top), VO2 Max (left), and Recovery Time (bottom) — a combination optimized for quick readiness assessment.
**COLOR THEMES — 6 PRESETS PLUS FULL CUSTOM CONTROL**
Six built-in themes let you match the watch face to your style:
Default — Neutral warm-white on deep black, optimized for AMOLED readability.
Gold — Warm gold accents for a premium dress-sport aesthetic.
Silver — Cool silver tones for a modern, understated look.
Ocean — Teal-blue palette inspired by open water.
Forest — Muted greens for trail and outdoor use.
Rose — Warm rose accents for a refined personal touch.
For deeper personalization, Custom mode lets you set four colors individually via hex code: time display color, date color, sub-dial value color, and sub-dial label color. The separator line in the right panel is also independently adjustable.
Regardless of theme, the mode accent colors — red, green, and amber — always follow the active readiness state. Readiness remains visually unambiguous no matter which theme you choose.
**RIGHT PANEL — DATE PLUS CONTEXTUAL INFORMATION**
The right panel always shows the current date. The lower information line is selectable:
Steps — Live step count; values above 1,000 use compact K-notation.
Notifications — Unread notification badge count.
Battery — Device battery percentage.
In READY and RECOVERY modes the lower line is replaced by the mode label in the accent color, keeping the readiness message prominent throughout the day.
**DESIGN**
The outer Body Battery ring is a continuous arc with no segment dividers, rendered beneath the tick marks for a clean integrated look. Tick marks, sub-dial scales, and panel elements all scale proportionally across every supported device. MERIDIAN Chrono is compatible with 21 device types across the Forerunner and multisport lineup.
