About

Locked down? Running in your garden and getting inaccurate GPS readings? Running further than planned due to inaccurate GPS readings? Then this is for you! Full instructions on how to setup can be found here: http://www.paceband.co.za/GardenRunner/GardenRunner.pdf GardenRunner will keep track of your laps and distances. All you need to do is to measure your track distance accurately and configure GardenRunner with it. GardenRunner will use your start position and autolap once you pass the start again. If you somehow missed the starting point, it will autolap after 120% of your lap distance is done. Other features: * You can configure the start radius, play with this if your GPS reception is not good or decrease it if you have good reception. * You can also enable an alert when you are approaching a lap. * Dark or Light mode * Km's or Miles (Values are configured in Km's only) * GardenRunner will prevent false laps by checking that you have done 50% of your lap distance before a lap start position can be detected. * Estimation of GPS error vs using of lap distances * If will save your GardenRunner laps, distance, average as well as GPS error in your Garmin Connect workout. It will also add GardenRunner averages and distances in your workout lap data. * You can switch lap direction, but do it just after a lap was detected, otherwise GardenRunner will not be able to determine your distance correctly. Please look at the garden image for an example of good starting positions. Starting positions should be an area that does not overlap or get near other parts of your path. A good starting point is a for example on a straight where no other paths cross or run closely with. Play around with the start radius until you get good results! A radius of typically 10 meters works very good, but do not worry, if a lap is missed GardenRunner will detect it and will do a correction! The further the starting point is from other parts of your track, the bigger you can make the start radius and the better lap detection will work. Note: Your Garmin will still record GPS distances and paces, unfortunately it can't be overridden with the lap distances, but the lap distances are recorded and graphs will be shown in Garmin Connect when you have uploaded your workout. See this document on where to find stats after your workout: http://www.paceband.co.za/GardenRunner/GardenRunner.pdf

What's new

* GardenRunner now uses moving time, so you can pause a workout, but just remember to start again at the same location! A suggestion is to always pause once a lap is completed and then start again at your lap start position. * It will also now not revert back to the start screen when a workout is paused. * Once paused, your Garmin will display "Resume", but you can just press the lap button to view the GardenRunner page (Handy if you want to take a photo of your current distance and pace!) * Some improvements to data recording.
