Also, always show and automatic (show only once data received) options are available too. For settings: OPTION1: open Garmin Connect / connect your bike computer to your phone / select your bike computer / Activities, Apps & More / Data Fields / Edge Dials / Settings. It will take a few seconds to load the settings page. OPTION2: open Connect IQ Store / connect your bike computer to your phone / select your bike computer / My data fields / Edge dials / Settings. It will take a few seconds to load the settings page. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ DATAFIELD UPDATE: For some reason it can be tricky to update datafields via Garmin apps. For me, the update button never worked, it always showed that the request was queied but it was never updated actually. What works for me is reinstalling the data field: 1. open the ConnectIQ app. 2. connect your Edge. 3. tap on the Edge icon. 4. select "My Data Fields". 5. select "Edge Dials". 6. wait a few seconds (or until the "download complete" message appears on the device) 7. force-stop (!) ConnectIQ app. 8. open ConnectIQ app. 9. select "Search", then search for "Edge Dials". 10. open "Edge dials". 11. select "Install". 12. wait a few seconds (or until the "download complete" message appears on the device). 13. done _______________________________________________________________________________________________ DATA DISPLAYED: -current speed (average and max on dials) -power: actual, 3s and 10s (average and max on dials) -current heart rate (average with bars only). Visualised within the HR zone limits. -current cadence (average and max with bars) -total distance -activity timer -time of day -gear indexes for electronic shifters (tested with Di2 and eTap) + cross chain alarm -temperature has 2 options: 1. Internal temperature sensor: please note that due to the limitations of the system, the temperature value is refreshed only in every 5 minutes. As a result it's not accurate all the time and in some cases it may show empty value for several minutes after displaying the data field. Also, the sensor is inside the device, hence it returns the internal temperature which can be inaccurate in some cases. 2. Weather data: temperature is downloaded from the connected phone. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ PERMISSIONS REQUIRED: Run in the background: needed to read temperature sensor data. Fitness profile: to read and display HR zones. Sensor data: for cadence, power and other metrics.
