About

WARNING: The app is intended only as an in-flight aid and should not be used as a primary information source. If the app contains a barometric altimeter, it will not function in a pressurized aircraft and should not be used in a pressurized aircraft. Look up. Now you know what it is. LARA (Live Airspace Radar Assistant) turns your watch into a plane-spotter's radar scope. Aircraft around your location appear as type-specific silhouettes — airliners, light aircraft, and helicopters each drawn distinctly — rotated to their real heading, on an animated sweep display that rotates to match the direction you're facing. FEATURES • Live traffic within 8 nm, auto-refreshing every 15 seconds • Type identification in plain English: "737 MAX 8", "Cirrus SR22T", "C-17" — the full ICAO registry of ~2,700 aircraft types built in • Route lookup for airline flights: see origin and destination at a glance • Rare catches highlighted: military traffic in purple, emergency squawks flashing red, helicopters tagged • Overhead-pass countdown: LARA extrapolates tracks and tells you when something will pass nearly overhead — before it does • Aircraft list: one button opens a scrollable list of everything on the scope, sorted nearest first • Compass track-up display with motion trails, range zoom, and altitude-coded colors (low traffic amber, mid cyan, cruisers dimmed) • Configurable alerts: buzz for military and emergency aircraft, quiet for everything else • Glance shows traffic count and nearest aircraft without opening the app CONTROLS • START or tap — aircraft list • UP / DOWN — step through aircraft • Hold MENU — zoom between 8, 4, and 2 nm DATA Traffic data comes from the adsb.lol community ADS-B network; routes from adsbdb.com. LARA needs your phone nearby for connectivity and GPS for your position. Coverage reflects the community receiver network and includes only aircraft broadcasting ADS-B. IMPORTANT LARA displays internet-relayed ADS-B data with inherent delays and gaps. It is for entertainment and plane spotting only, and must never be used for navigation, traffic separation, or collision avoidance.
