Efficiency Factor
· v1.2.6
About
This data field shows the Efficiency Factor at each moment, as well as per lap and for the whole session. The Efficiency Factor can be used to measure your progress by comparing the value for similar activities.
The Efficiency Factor is the intensity divided by the heart rate. For cycling, intensity is the power, for running intensity is the pace in meter or yards per minute.
The intensity is averaged over the last 30 seconds to compensate for spikes in the value. For the laps and the session, the normalized value is used; this puts heavier weight on the sections with higher intensity and better matches the physiological impact, see also https://join.cc/cycling-tips/why-use-normalized-power-for-your-training
