About
Vitality Light turns your watch's Body Battery, stress, resting heart rate, and
recovery time into one simple number: your daily Readiness Score.
No more guessing whether today is a hard-training day or a rest day. Open the
app and get an instant traffic-light verdict - green, yellow, or red - plus a
plain-language reason why, and a straightforward training recommendation.
FEATURES
- Readiness Score (0-100): one daily number built from Body Battery, overnight
stress, resting heart rate vs. your own baseline, and recovery time since
your last hard effort.
- Real traffic light: three lamps stacked like an actual signal, with only
one lit at a time - the state reads by position, not color alone.
- "Why" explanation: see the one factor dragging today's score down, e.g.
"Resting HR elevated (75 vs ~62)".
- Training recommendation: full training, moderate (Zone 1-2), or rest day -
no interpretation needed.
- 14-day trend sparkline with today highlighted, plus an up/down/flat
indicator versus your last check.
- Red-day streak alert if you've been in the red for 2+ days running.
- Adjustable weighting - Standard, Sleep Focus, or Stress Focus - which
re-scores your entire history instantly, no waiting for new data.
- Full detail view: tap in to see all four components and exactly how each
one is scoring.
HOW IT WORKS
Vitality Light reads sensor history already recorded on your watch - no phone app,
no account, nothing leaves your wrist. Garmin does not expose HRV or
sleep-stage data to third-party apps, so Vitality Light uses Body Battery as its
recovery signal instead, since Garmin's own algorithm already blends HRV,
stress, and sleep into that number - combined with stress, resting heart
rate, and recovery time for a well-rounded picture.
WHO IT'S FOR
Runners, cyclists, and anyone training with a plan who wants an honest
"push today or back off?" check before they start moving.
PERMISSIONS
Uses SensorHistory and UserProfile to read your Body Battery, stress, and
heart rate history and to personalize your resting-heart-rate baseline.
