USGS Elevation

This widget uses the current GPS position to query the U.S. Geological Survey's National Elevation Dataset (NED) for your current elevation. This data, which is in the public domain, is most likely more accurate than the GPS elevation and can be used to manually calibrate your altimeter before or during an activity. Please note the following caveats: 1. Elevation data is only available for the United States. 2. Your watch must be paired and connected to your phone, and your phone must have Internet service in order to make the request to the USGS database.
