BreakFinder Surf — Watch Face
· v0.2.2
About
Your home break, on your wrist. Glance down and know if it's worth paddling out — no phone, no app to open.
BreakFinder Surf turns your watch face into a live surf report for your home spot. One number tells you the story; wave, wind and tide fill in the rest.
WHAT YOU SEE
• Surf score (0–100) as the hero — the overall rating for your spot right now
• Wave height — swell size in metres or feet
• Wind — speed and onshore/offshore; offshore lights up green because that's the good stuff
• Tide — state and trend, rising or falling
• The time, always — it's still a watch face
• Your spot name and a quiet battery readout
BUILT LIKE AN INSTRUMENT
Pure-black face, one hero numeral, one accent. No clutter — just the read you need between sets. On AMOLED watches the score glows; on transflective and Instinct screens it stays crisp and flat. Instinct's sub-dial becomes the score gauge.
UNITS YOUR WAY
Wind in km/h, knots, mph or m/s. Height in metres or feet. Or leave it on Auto and the face follows your watch's own metric/statute setting.
190+ GARMIN DEVICES
Venu, fēnix, Forerunner, epix, vívoactive, Instinct — from the big AMOLED rounds down to the 32 KB Instinct 2S, each gets a layout tuned to its screen.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the watch face
2. Create a free account at https://breakfinder.surf
3. Set your home spot
4. Paste your API token into the face settings in Garmin Connect
5. Conditions refresh automatically in the background — no battery drain
Works offline: your last report stays on the wrist until the next sync.
