RingMy - Find your phone from your watch without Bluetooth! RingMy allows you to ring your lost phone directly from your Garmin watch using only a WiFi connection. It works independently of Garmin Connect Bluetooth syncing, meaning you can find your phone even if Bluetooth is off or out of range. HOW IT WORKS & DEPENDENCIES: Because Garmin watches cannot natively ring a phone over WiFi, RingMy uses third-party push notification apps to receive the signal on your phone. To use this app, you MUST install one of the following free apps on your phone: - For iPhone (iOS): Install the "Bark - Customed Notifications" app from the App Store. - For Android: Install the "ntfy" app from the Google Play Store. ANDROID SILENT MODE LIMITATIONS: Android natively blocks standard apps from overriding "Silent" or "Vibrate-only" modes. To ensure your phone rings: - Recommended Option: Use "Do Not Disturb" (DND) instead of Silent mode. Go to Android Settings / Apps / ntfy / Notifications / Urgent channel. Enable "Override Do Not Disturb" and pick a loud sound. - For Strict Silent Mode: If you always keep your phone on Volume 0, you must use a free automation app like MacroDroid. Create a macro: "If ntfy notification received, then Set Alarm Volume to 100%, then Play Sound".
