About

Interval Running Next Generation V2.x App for Vivoactive HR & series 3, Venu sq, Forerunner 645/645m/735xt/935 and Fenix 5/5S/5X/Plus/Chronos/6/6s is the only one App allowing to manage your interval running session by vibration way. Without to have a look on the screen, the app launches a specific vibration indicating the run step and another for the rest step; the two periods are cycled until stop/pause key pressed. A warm-up and warm-down step can be also adjusted. In real time, it’s reported on the screen: the distance (km or mile), the average or current pace (min:sec by km or mile), the time elapsed (h:min:sec), Heart Rate value (bpm) and some other information about the current interval. With this app, it’s possible to set an interval cycle by mixing time or/and distance target in a same cycle. For example, 5 min warm-up, 3 cycles with 100 m for the run step and 60s for the rest step, a long rest time (4 min), and after another cycle…everything is possible, fully adjustable and savable (10 saving slots available) … furthermore 8 interval cycle patterns are available. These patterns can be used as model to be modifying before saving on one of available slot. For each step, it’s also possible to set a pace target, vibration and a warning are launched during the run until the current pace is higher than the pace target. Furthermore, VMA calculation is now possible (demi-cooper test); another new interesting functionality is a dedicated operating mode allowing to drive the interval running by touching the watch screen (launch the next step - only for watches with tactile screen). When the Heart Rate monitor is turned on, the heart rate value is reported on the screen in real time. A HR threshold can be adjusted; a periodical vibration warning (and a heart warning on screen) is activated as long as the heart rate is higher than the threshold. For Night Runner, it’s possible to keep screen light activated during the run. An Interval analysis is performed at the end of the running on run step, it’s reported the average pace, the standard deviation (indicator of constant effort during the run step, need to be lower as possible), the minus pace (higher speed) and the maximum pace (lower speed). The session (map, pace, segment…) can be stored with FIT format compatible for Garmin Connect IQ (need to create a Garmin Connect account); then, it’s possible to have look on map and session information on your Garmin Connect IQ page. For more detail about functionalities with a short user’s manual, those which need a registration and those which not need, with pictures and version notes, refer Interval Running website: https://intervalrunning.pagesperso-orange.fr/IntervalRunningNextGen.htm Interval Running Nest Generation development takes many time, thanks you to support me if you enjoy my app. Some function can be unblocked with a specific code (in parameters menu; refer to Interval Running Next Generation website).
