I'm NOT Stormglass.io !!!! Before installation and 1st start of AK Beachwatch you should do a fresh GPS fix. Otherwise watchface is taking predefined location (for the next hours). Requires registration (free!) at https://dashboard.stormglass.io/register. API key (shown in the end of the registration process) to be copied to app preferences in Garmin Connect IQ: select "my device" bottom right - "My Watchfaces" - "AK Beachwatch" - "Settings", paste API key to appropriate field. Attention: API key consists of 73 digits (!!!), in total 10 blocks with 4 to 12 digits. Please, copy whole key. Example: 11111111-2222-3333-4444-555555555555-66666666-7777-8888-9999-000000000000 Ten requests per day are free at the moment (older plans might include fifty requests per day). This means, updates every 3 hours. You are able to define up to three different keys to improve update interval. App automatically tunes update times related to your plan(s). Keep in mind, stormglass uses a tide station next to your location (might be hundrets of kilometers away). What station is taken is shown in the top. Tide model Stormglass is wide-meshed, but I think good enough to identify best times for kiting. Or just as gimmick :) . Weather locations are more fine-meshed, location is shown in the bottom. Also keep in mind, first load of all data might take up to 30 Minutes, if location changed, up to 3 hours (dependent on your plan). Please make sure, that right before first start of watchface, a GPS fix is given. FAQ: - If data are not updated, please open in app menu and select option "Force Update" - If this is not fixing the issue, please use option "Reset all Data on next Start" in app preferences - If bluetooth symbol is red, most probably the daily limits for free key is reached, please wait for next day. - If there is a message "Check API Key" please check API key (e.g. if everything copied, no leading blanks or in the end, daily quote expired, ...)
