Dark Sky

I’m pleased to present the first watch face I’ve worked on in some time. Dark Sky, is a sleek and modern looking watch face, that comes a variety of standard features. However, I wanted Deep Sky To provide something unique, something that was useful for the atypical person. As someone who enjoys the hobby of Astrophotography, I wanted Dark Sky to be have some functionality that goes with that hobby. Thus the name Dark Sky……. This watch face has some additional special computations, and they are listed below as well. Please note that this watch face looks great on AMOLED devices. I have both a AMOLED and MIP device, and will say I use it on the MIP. But keep in mind, the colors on the MIP display will not look nearly as vivid. Keep that in mind, before you purchase. Special Circular Zone Computations: 1. Moon Phase / Fraction - Will Display a high precision Moon Fraction as a decimal, as well as a code for the moon phase. NM - New Moon, FM - Full Moon, Wn G - Waning Gibbous, Wn C- Waning Crescent, Wx G - Waxing Crescent , Wx C - Waxing Crescent. 2. Astro Target - Deep Sky contains a local catalog with some of the most known Astro. Objects. Based on your GPS location it will calculate the best target for observation near the Zenith in your sky. However, it will only list the catalog number such as C12, C14 etc etc….. Please note that due to space restrictions on a watch face if you see NC “xxxx” that NC stands for NGC. When selected, tracking will illuminate based on battery of device value. 3. Astro Altitude - Lists the target’s altitude in the sky. Tracking ring will illuminate based on steps towards step goal. 4. Astro Direction - Lists the direction in the night sky… Please note “Zen” indicates a target near the Zenith. So you may see something like M5, 83 degrees, Zen if you use all these zone settings. This means that M5 (is a globular cluster) is 83 degrees near the zenith based at on your current location. Tracking ring will illuminate based on calories/ set calorie goal in settings. Finally, you are also able to display Moon Fraction/ Phase in the triangular Zone as well as Astro Target Data. Now Here are The Standard Features: Standard Elements On Watch: 1. Three customizable Circular Zones (3, 6, 9 positions). 2. One Customizable Triangular Zone (12 position) 3. Customizable Watch Hand Styles (4 types Initially) 4. Customizable Numbers or Digits (2 types initially) 5. Additional “peg” rings used to tracking purposes (Not all data selections use this feature) 6. Watch Hands, Data Values, and Hour Markers are color customizable. Standard Circular Zone Data Computations: 1. Steps - Zone tracking ring will illuminate as you progress towards daily step goal. 2. Calories -Zone tracking ring will illuminate as you progress daily calorie goal set in settings. 3. Active HR - Zone tracking rings will illuminated based on Age based (Max HR) set in settings. 4. Step Based Distance - Zone Tracking ring will illuminate based on distance goal set in settings. 5. Body Battery - Zone tracking ring will illuminate baed on 0 -100% 6. Humidity - Same as Body Battery 7. UV Index - No Tracking 8. Temperature - Zone tracking ring will illuminate based on percentage related to a normalized value of -20 - 50 degrees Celsius. Standard Triangular Zone Computations: 1. Display Logo - No Tracking Ring Illumination 2. Sun Rise/ Sun Set - Tracking Ring illumination based on how much time until event. 3. Date - No Tracking Ring Illumination.
