About

See your CGM glucose without leaving your run, ride or workout. The Sugar Sense data field puts your current blood sugar, trend arrow and a compact trend graph on any activity screen, next to pace, heart rate and time, refreshed every 5 minutes from FreeStyle Libre, Dexcom or Nightscout. It is a Connect IQ data field for runners, cyclists and other athletes with type 1 or type 2 diabetes on a continuous glucose monitor. WORKS WITH YOUR CGM - FreeStyle Libre 2, Libre 2 Plus, Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus via LibreLinkUp sharing - Dexcom G6, G7 and ONE+ via Dexcom Share (any Dexcom app with the Share feature turned on) - Nightscout sites, so any CGM that uploads to Nightscout works WHAT YOU GET - Zone colored glucose value and trend arrow: green in range, amber warning, red alert - Reading age and the change since the last reading, where the layout has room - A compact trend graph on larger layouts, over a window you pick, 1 to 24 hours - Glucose in your activity file: your own readings go into the FIT file, so Garmin Connect charts them and shows min, max and average - Settings in the Garmin Connect app: graph window, show change, show reading age, show or hide the GLUCOSE caption - One pull every 5 minutes, easy on your battery - mg/dL or mmol/L, following your Sugar Sense account settings - Values older than 15 minutes grey out, so stale data never looks live - Built for land sports: running, cycling, hiking, strength training - Runs on more than 75 Garmin devices, including Forerunner 165, 255, 265, 570, 955, 965 and 970, Fenix 7, 8, 9 and 9 Pro, Fenix E, Epix 2, Enduro 3, Venu 3, 4 and X1, Vivoactive 5 and 6, Instinct 3 AMOLED, MARQ 2 and Edge bike computers (540, 840, 1040, 1050, MTB, Explore 2) SETUP IN ABOUT A MINUTE Pairing happens inside the field: add it to an activity layout and a short code appears there. Enter the code in the Sugar Sense phone app (Settings, Integrations, Garmin Watch), or sign in at https://app.sugarsense.io/garmin in any browser. Step by step guide: https://sugarsense.io/garmin-watch-glucose-setup QUICK ANSWERS - Do I need my phone? Yes, readings arrive through Garmin Connect on your phone, within Bluetooth range. - Does it alert during the activity? No, the field is a display. Alerts stay on your phone. - Following a family member? Their glucose shows in the field, with their name on larger layouts. - Instinct 2 or 3 Solar? Their data field memory is too small, use the Sugar Sense widget. - Is it free? The Garmin apps are free to install. Live glucose on the watch needs Sugar Sense Premium from the phone app. GOOD TO KNOW Requires a free Sugar Sense account (iOS or Android) with a connected glucose source, or a Care Circle follow, plus an active Sugar Sense Premium subscription, purchased in the phone app. Sugar Sense on your phone is a complete diabetes companion: glucose alerts, live graph, LogBook, time in range, estimated A1C, insights, food logging and a Care Circle for family. ALSO FROM SUGAR SENSE A glance, a full graph and a Glucose complication for watch faces that support them (not Garmin's built-in faces): Sugar Sense widget, https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/19c4658f-6af3-41e8-b0bb-317c5de73920 LEARN MORE iPhone app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sugar-sense-cgm-a1c-tracker/id6737151615 Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.sugarsense.app Website: https://sugarsense.io Support: [email protected] IMPORTANT Sugar Sense for Garmin is a secondary display for passive monitoring. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Do not use it to make treatment decisions. Always confirm readings with your CGM app or a blood glucose meter before acting, and never rely on this app for alarms. Alerts stay on your phone, where the Sugar Sense app delivers them. What's new

This update brings two releases in one. Care Circle follower mode: if you follow someone in Sugar Sense, the field shows their glucose, with their name on larger layouts. New in 1.3.0: Reading age and the change since the last reading, where the layout has room. Glucose in your activity file: the field writes your own readings into the FIT file, so Garmin Connect charts them and shows min, max and average for the activity. This update asks for the FIT Contributor permission so glucose can be written into your activity file. Settings in the Garmin Connect app: graph window 1 to 24 hours, show the change, show the reading age, and show or hide the GLUCOSE word. Faster refresh: the field snaps its next update to your own reading cadence. The field stays a display: alerts stay on your phone.
