Race Assistant
· v0.0.59
About
Goal for this app is to Assist by getting a Goal or Cutoff time during an Ultra Trail.
In the map screen are 2 values added right bottom corner (remaining goal- or cutoff time to next point and pace to get this time)
On the left bottom the planned rest time is shown along with icons of available services like water, drinks and meals.
Stretched from left to right on the bottomline a long descreption of the waypoint is shown.
When the remaining time for the goal has been reached the remaining time to the cutoff is shown in red and pace is switched to cutoff pace.
A pace treshold can be set for switching from goal to cutoff
A GPX with waypoints with unique names is needed. (exact distance to Aidstations and Finish are available this way, regardless if you are offtrack for a while)
Setup:
Install this datafield on the left and right bottom of the map screen.
Add a waypoints with Garmin Connect at the start with name 'Start'
Then add all waypoints with goal and optional cutoff time like 'CP1', 'CP2'
Last point is the finish line like 'Finish'
Optional are poi's like 'Top1' or 'POI 1', 'POI 2' or 'Checkpoint 1'
Other option is only a name like 'Refuge Bonatti' (max 15 chars), when you map the name in the settings the max is 19 chars
You can choose an icon in garmin connect that suits the point type.
Note: turn off the garmin waypoint assistant for every turn because they are added to the new waypoints and will stop showing only your defined waypoints.
Example: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/258338269
In the ConnectIQ app you can map the short names of the waypoints to long names (do not make typos!) and add the services, goal, rest and cutoff times, pace, race start date-time
