Lume

Lume is an analog watch face built around one idea: what a real dive watch does in the dark. WHEN THE DISPLAY SLEEPS, THE LUME TAKES OVER • The data, the minute track, the dial texture — everything else goes dark. • What stays lit: the hands, the hour markers, the 12 / 6 numerals and the ring around the hand pivot, glowing in neon with a soft halo around them. • The glow is strongest the moment the display goes dark and then slowly fades, the way real luminous paint does. It never drops below a readable floor. CHARGED BY THE SUN • On solar watches the face remembers the strongest sunlight it saw during the day and lets it fade out slowly — a sunny day means a brighter glow at night. • On non-solar watches the glow simply runs at full strength. DAYLIGHT IS A DIFFERENT WATCH • Awake, the dial is dark and legible: pale "daylight lume" on the markers and hand inlays, a fine minute track, a subtle hexagonal dial texture, and your data. • Three data fields plus the date, each picked from 16 metrics: steps, calories, heart rate, battery %, battery days, Body Battery, temperature, Zulu (UTC) time, sunrise, sunset, distance, floors, notifications, altitude, stress, solar intensity. • Optional second hand (off by default to save battery). DETAILS THAT MAKE IT READ RIGHT • The fine lines — minute track, dial texture, the outline of the hands — do not glow themselves. They are faintly white, as if only reflecting the phosphor. • Five lume colours: classic green, ice blue, amber, arctic white, orange. • Four glow strengths, plus switches for fading, solar charging, glowing markers, numerals and dial outlines. BUILT FOR YOUR DISPLAY • MIP watches (fenix, Instinct, Forerunner): the glow simply stays on screen in low power mode, exactly like a charged dial on your wrist at night. • AMOLED watches: in always-on mode the widest halo layer is dropped to stay inside the lit-pixel budget, and the whole drawing shifts a few pixels every minute to protect against burn-in. Wake the display and it is instantly back to the full daylight dial.
