GlideSpace watches the airspace around you and warns you before you reach it: a clear banner, a vibration and a tone the moment you get close to a control zone, a restricted or a danger area — laterally or in height. REAL HEIGHT, NOT A LAGGING FIX Your position comes from GPS and your altitude from the watch's barometric sensor, so the margin to an airspace floor or ceiling is real pressure altitude rather than a wandering GPS figure. Flight-level limits are compared on the standard 1013 datum and MSL limits against your QNH, exactly as the airspace is published. Set QNH by hand, to standard, or by calibrating to a field elevation you know. YOUR OWN AIRSPACE Loaded from a Naviter .cub file with the free GlideSpace uploader, so the app carries no built-in dataset to go stale and works in any country. You pick the area you fly on a map and get a short code; how much fits depends on your watch's memory, and the uploader shows the limit for your model before you sync. IN FLIGHT The screen shows the nearest airspace, its type and your distance from it, and warns when you cross your own alert threshold. One button mutes a warning for five minutes or the rest of the day, for airspace you already know you are working under. Warning distances are yours to set. OFFLINE After the one-time sync, everything runs on the watch: no phone, no signal, no account in the air. REQUIREMENTS A phone running Garmin Connect with an internet connection for the first sync of your airspace, and whenever you change it. A watch with a barometric altimeter. SAFETY A recreational aid, not a means of airspace clearance. It shows only the airspace you loaded, above-ground limits are approximate, and it does not replace current charts, a briefing, or your own lookout.
