About

One idea, everywhere on the dial: a mark that can be lit. Twelve marks ring the edge of the face and exactly one of them is lit. That is the hour, and it needs no learning, because the lit mark sits at its own clock position. Ten o'clock is where ten o'clock has always been. The minute is written large in the middle, in segments, over the unlit ghosts of the segments it is not using. It is the biggest thing on the face because it is the number you actually read. YOU CHOOSE WHAT IT SHOWS Three readings sit below the minute. Each takes any of sixteen: heart rate, steps, stairs climbed, Body Battery, stress, resting heart rate, battery percent, battery days, calories, distance, active minutes, notifications, altitude, sleep score, the date, or nothing at all. Out of the box they are Body Battery, heart rate and steps, with the date and watch battery above. A quiet face by design. There is no sweeping second hand, because a second hand is the single biggest drain a watch face can put on a fenix, and this one is built to disappear into a fortnight of battery life rather than compete with it. SIX THEMES Signature, Dark, Navy, Emerald, Classical and White. TWO KINDS OF SCREEN On a reflective screen, brightness is literally how much daylight the pixel returns, so every colour here is chosen to keep the face readable in direct sun rather than only on a backlit display. On a bright always-on screen the face switches to a separate low-power view between glances. Not a dimmed copy of the dial - a different drawing, with the lit mark alone and the minute as segment outlines rather than filled segments. It keeps the panel dark and shifts slightly minute to minute, so nothing is held in one place. SETTINGS, ON THE WATCH Hold the menu button on the watch face. Theme and all three readings are there, and the dial changes as you choose. You can also use your phone if you prefer: Garmin Connect app, then your device, Connect IQ Apps, Watch Faces, CIPHER, settings. Both routes write the same setting. Built for fenix 6 Pro, fenix 7, fenix 7 Pro, fenix 8 Solar 47mm, fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 255 Music, Forerunner 955, Forerunner 965 and Forerunner 970. Free, with no ads and no tracking. SUPPORT This watch face is free, with no account, no subscription and no ads, and it stays that way. What's new

Two legibility settings, on the watch or from the phone: ghost segments can now be turned off, so unlit segments disappear into the background instead of drawing as a dim outline -- meant for direct sun on the MIP display. And turning off all three readings below the minute now grows it to fill the space they leave, instead of sitting above a blank row.
