About

OutdoorNav is an outdoor activity tracking and orientation app designed to help you keep a clear reference to your starting point and important locations during your activity. When you start an activity, OutdoorNav automatically creates a temporary starting point and records your route. During the activity you can view your main data, navigate directly back to the starting point, follow your recorded route in reverse, save points of interest and navigate to them using direction and distance. OutdoorNav supports several outdoor activities including hunting, hunting with a dog, fishing, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, mountaineering, skiing and free activity. Activities are recorded as FIT files and can be synchronized with Garmin Connect, including data such as time, distance, heart rate, speed, altitude, ascent and descent when available on your device. Saved points can be reused on future activities, and their names can be edited from Garmin Connect / Connect IQ. OutdoorNav is designed as a simple orientation and activity support tool. Navigation is based on direction, distance and your recorded route. It does not provide maps or check terrain, paths, access restrictions or possible hazards. When going out alone, we also recommend using the safety features available on your Garmin device, such as LiveTrack when supported. Safety Warning OutdoorNav is a support tool for outdoor orientation and activity tracking. It should not be used as your only navigation system and does not replace maps, a compass, official signage, knowledge of the terrain or safe decision-making. GPS accuracy may vary depending on satellite reception, surroundings, device capabilities and other conditions. Direction, distance, altitude, route and location information may contain errors or delays. The user is responsible for checking terrain conditions, access restrictions, weather, hazards and safe routes before and during the activity. OutdoorNav is not an emergency system and does not automatically contact emergency services or personal contacts. When going out alone, we recommend also using compatible Garmin safety features such as LiveTrack and carrying appropriate communication equipment.
