About

Sept 22, 2022: A new version of this data field that supports newer devices is now available. Search the Connect IQ store for "TMI". AllSkate is a complex data field that displays 20+ activity and informational metrics/indicators on a single page. Only the Epix is supported due to memory and feature requirements (see AllSkateNav for the Fenix 5X). AllSkate can be configured via Garmin Express, Garmin Connect Mobile, or directly on the device. AllSkate is designed by and for long distance inline skaters, but it will also automatically reconfigure to display running-related metrics when used in an activity that includes running cadence data. AllSkate may also be suitable for cyclists who do not rely on cadence or power data. This data field is not for the faint of heart, nor anyone whose eyes glaze over at the mention of the word "technology". :-) Having said that, if you're an endurance athlete with wheels (or running shoes) on your feet who appreciates the benefits of wearing a Garmin device on your wrist, then AllSkate may for you. Activity Metrics: Activity time (MM:SS, or HH + MM:SS when greater than 1 hour) Distance (Miles or KM) CAM (Current, Average and Maximum) Speed (MPH or KMPH) or Pace (MIN/MILE or MIN/KM) CAM Heart Rate (BPM) CAM Ascent Ratio (FT/MILE or MT/KM) or Cadence (SPM) Total Ascent (FT or MT) Elevation From Start (+/- FT or MT) Calories Time Above Avg Heart Rate (+MM:SS) or RECOVERY Current Heart Rate Trend (up/down arrow) and Change Detection Threshold (BPM) Most Recent Low/High Heart Rate (BPM) Graphic Activity Indicators: Heart Rate Zone (4 User-Selectable Options) Ascent Ratio Zone or Cadence Zone Color Activity Indicators (Background Color): Higher-Than-Average Speed (Green) Lower-Than-Average Heart Rate (Green) Lower-Than-Average Ascent Ratio (Green) Stress Zone (Yellow, Orange, Red) Maximum Increased Indicators (displayed for 30 seconds when max value increases): Speed (Green) Heart Rate (Red) Ascent Ratio (Red) Informational Metrics And Indicators: GPS Lock Status (0-4 and Color-Coded) Time-Of-Day (HH:MM, 24 hour) Battery State-Of-Charge % (Numeric and Color-Coded Graphic) Estimated Battery Run Time (-HH:MM) (Continued...)

What's new

(Continued...) The following settings are available in Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile: Activity Type: Auto Detect, Skating, Running Max Heart Rate: 90-290 BPM Heart Rate Zone Type: None, 2-Zone Above/Below Avg, 5-Zone: 50/60/70/80/90% of max HR, 6-Zone Auto-Calibrating, 5-Zone (above avg only) Auto-Calibrating Color Scheme: Bright Colors, Dark Colors Time Limit at Max Heart Rate: 30-360 seconds Heart Rate Change Detection Mode: Auto Detect, User-Defined Heart Rate Change Detection Threshold: 3-30 BPM The settings listed above can also be configured directly on the Epix when connectivity to a computer or smartphone is not available. This is done by making temporary changes to the user profile weight/height. Changes made on the device will persist between activities. Help screens explain how to make on-device configuration changes and also show the current configuration settings. The Skating activity displays speed and ascent ratio, while Running displays pace and cadence. Auto-detection relies on the absence (Skating) or presence (Running) of cadence data. The 5-zone heart rate meter displays fixed zones based on 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90% of the user-configurable maximum heart rate. The 5 and 6-zone auto-calibrating meters and the stress zone display are proprietary in design, and respond dynamically to your heart rate in the current activity. They are most useful only after the activity has progressed enough for representative average and maximum heart rate values to be established for the current activity's conditions. The battery run time estimate projects when the state-of-charge (SOC) will drop below 10%, and will typically understate the actual run time, especially when the initial SOC is less than 100%, or when the device is partially charged just before beginning an activity. It becomes more accurate as the SOC drops below 50%. -??:?? will appear until the SOC drops by several percent. For more information, contact the developer.
