Stealth Mode
· v1.0
About
Stealth Mode is a comprehensive tactical instrument suite designed for situational awareness, signal discipline monitoring, and field operations. It transforms your Garmin device into a standalone tactical dashboard, prioritizing high-contrast data legibility and radio silence verification.
CORE FEATURES
1. Signal Monitoring (Stealth Check) The primary function of the dashboard is to monitor your device's radio emissions.
SECURE Status: Confirms that all transmission radios (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) are fully disabled or in Airplane Mode.
RADIO HOT Warning: Immediately alerts you if Bluetooth advertising or Wi-Fi scanning is active, ensuring you maintain digital light discipline when required.
Glance Widget: Includes a lightweight Glance View for your main watch loop, allowing you to check signal status instantly without opening the full application.
2. Tactical Radar (North-Up) A real-time relative position display designed for navigation without map clutter.
Visuals: Displays a North-Up compass ring with auto-scaling breadcrumb trails of your movement history.
Target Locking: Press START while on the Radar page to mark your current location as a target. The radar will then display a vector line and crosshair relative to your new position, providing real-time range and azimuth to that specific point.
GPS Fallback: If GPS is unavailable, the system attempts to use the last known coordinates for indoor target designation.
3. Ops & Navigation Data Dedicated pages for mission-critical metrics:
OPS: Displays Local time, Zulu (UTC) time, Heart Rate, and a toggleable Mission Timer (Elapsed Time).
NAV: High-visibility readout of Heading (Degrees), Altitude (Meters), and full Latitude/Longitude coordinates.
ENV: Environmental sensors including Internal Temperature, Solar Intensity, Battery Level, and Barometric Pressure.
4. Utility Tools
Tally Counter: A dual-channel manual counter (A/B) for tracking assets, reps, or pax. Includes a lock function to prevent accidental input.
System Map Launcher: A dedicated shortcut page to launch the device's native topographic maps for detailed terrain analysis.
SOS Beacon: A visual distress signal mode that flashes the screen and (if available) the hardware flashlight in a distress pattern.
Data Wipe (Dead Switch): A dedicated security function that instantly clears all locally stored track history, targets, and mission timers from the app's memory.
CONTROLS
UP / DOWN: Cycle through data pages (Comms, Ops, Nav, Radar, Map, Env, Tally, SOS, Setup, Wipe).
START / SELECT:
Radar Page: Mark/Unmark current location as Target.
Ops Page: Start/Stop Mission Timer.
Tally Page: Lock/Unlock counter buttons.
Map Page: Launch Native Garmin Map.
Wipe Page: Arm/Execute Data Wipe.
BACK: Exit current view or return to watch face.
COMPATIBILITY Optimized for Fenix 7X and similar high-performance Garmin devices. Requires GPS permissions for Radar functionality and Sensor permissions for radio status monitoring.
DISCLAIMER This application is for situational awareness and reference only. It should not be used as a primary navigation source for safety-of-life applications. "Secure" status is based on the device's reported radio state; always verify physically in critical environments.
What's new
Glance Widget Support Added a dedicated Glance View for the main watch loop. You can now verify signal discipline status (SECURE vs. RADIO HOT) instantly without opening the full application.
Tactical Radar Upgrades
Improved Targeting: Target designation is now activated via the START button for instant engagement.
Indoor Fallback: If live GPS is unavailable, the system now attempts to lock the target using the last known coordinate, allowing for indoor designation.
Visual Overhaul: Redesigned the compass ring and status text placement to prevent screen clipping and improve readability.
System Stability & Performance
Map Crash Fix: Resolved a critical issue causing the app to crash when initializing the map view on certain firmware versions.
Battery Optimization: Reduced display refresh rate from 4Hz to 1Hz, significantly extending battery life during long-duration operations.
Navigation Flow: Reverted System Map launch to manual activation (Page 4) to prevent accidental triggering while cycling through data pages.
