About

DiaGlow displays real-time continuous glucose monitor (CGM) readings directly on your Garmin watch face — glucose value, trend arrow, and a 60-minute history sparkline, wrapped in a radial glow that shifts color with your glucose zone (very low, low, in range, high, very high). It reads your glucose from either your own Nightscout site or from xDrip+ running on your phone. Because it takes finished readings from one of those, the sensor brand doesn't matter — Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, CareSens, Medtrum and anything else xDrip or Nightscout supports all work the same way. Built for people managing diabetes with a Nightscout- or xDrip-connected CGM, DiaGlow puts your glucose front and center every time you check your wrist. No opening the phone, no separate app, no digging through menus. KEY FEATURES • Real-time glucose value, refreshed every 5 minutes (Garmin's background limit) from your Nightscout server or from xDrip+ on your phone • Works with any CGM — the reading comes from Nightscout or xDrip, not from a specific sensor vendor • xDrip+ mode needs no internet connection: the reading travels from your phone to the watch over the local Bluetooth link • Trend arrow and rate-of-change delta, with three selectable calculation modes • 60-minute glucose history as a compact sparkline that ages out old readings automatically • Color-coded glow for very low, low, in-range, high, and very high zones, glanceable at arm's length • mmol/L or mg/dL, your choice • 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time • Configurable glucose zone thresholds to match your own targets • Stale-data safeguard: past 20 minutes old, the display visibly grays out and flags the data's age instead of quietly showing an old reading as if it were current • Battery, date, and time • Supports 74 Garmin devices across the fēnix, Forerunner, Venu, Marq, Descent, Approach, D2, epix, and vívoactive families REQUIREMENTS Choose one data source in the app's Settings after install: • Nightscout — your own Nightscout site (nightscout.github.io) with API v1 enabled, plus your Nightscout URL and API secret (or a scoped read-only token). Works on any phone; needs an internet connection. • xDrip+ — xDrip+ on the phone paired with your watch, with "xDrip Web Service" enabled (Settings ▸ Inter-app settings). Android only; no internet connection needed. Leave the URL and secret fields blank unless you enabled web-service authentication in xDrip. PRIVACY DiaGlow has no backend server of its own. In Nightscout mode, your URL and secret are used only to make a direct request from your watch to your own Nightscout site. In xDrip+ mode, the request never leaves the local link between your watch and your phone. Nothing is sent to, stored by, or visible to the developer. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.
