Holiday Calendar

This widget is a holiday calendar that supports the following holiday calendars: - Federal United States - Traditional United States - Public Canada - Statutory Mexico - Civic Mexico - Traditional Mexico - Public France - Traditional France - Jewish Celebrations - Islamic Celebrations - Christian Celebrations Controlling the calendar is done with a combination of touch and button operation: - Drag up and down to scroll through months. This can also be done using the up and down buttons - Drag left and right to scroll through years. - When the displayed month is not the current month, a round white button appears at the bottom and can be tapped to return to the current month - Use the menu button to go to the on device settings - use the back button or swipe back to exit the widget back to the glance - Tap any of the days to get the selected day details. A new screen appears and can be scrolled up and down using either the touch screen or the up and down button. Swipe back to return to the calendar The following settings are available: - For each supported calendars, you can select the color used on the calendar to mark an event. If "none" is selected this disables the specific calendar. - You can select the first day of the week to be either controlled by the watch system settings or overridden to Saturday or Sunday regardless of the watch system settings - You can select what is displayed in glance mode to be simply the current date or have a scrolling list of all events for the current day. Note that when the scrolling of event is selected and all calendars are enabled, the glance menu on the watch can be slow to appear so it is best to use the "Date and Events" settings when only one or two calendars are set to something different than "none". The calendar supports custom entry accessible via connect IQ. It has been mostly designed to support capturing birthdays or single events. For each event the format is as follows: [name of the event],start year (4 digit), start month (from 1 to 12), start day, recurrence code (currently supported are yearly and once); An example is provided below of what can be entered via connect IQ. A maximum of 4096 characters can be used in total.
