SITREP

Your watch already knows. SITREP puts it on one panel. SITREP is a data-dense tactical watch face built around segmented gauges, so you read a level as LENGTH before you read it as a number. Six slots, and you decide what goes in every one of them. SIX SLOTS, YOUR CHOICE • Three gauge rows and three bottom cells, set independently • Twelve metrics for every slot: heart rate, steps, calories, Body Battery, battery, altitude, heading, date, sunrise/sunset, stress, notifications, distance • Bottom cells can also be switched off, if you want a cleaner panel • The main metric gets the largest row and its value in the accent colour • Pick the same metric twice if that is what you want. Your choice stands, and nothing is silently swapped out behind your back READ THE LEVEL, NOT THE NUMBER • Segmented bars show how far along you are, at a glance • The number beside a bar says something the bar does not: steps show the count while the bar shows the share of your daily goal, battery shows days left while the bar shows the percentage • A metric without a ceiling gets no bar, because a bar without a ceiling would lie • Any value the watch cannot deliver right now shows "--", never a zero and never a guess ONE CODE CARRIES YOUR WHOLE SETUP • Every setting packs into a 13-character code, for example SIT014302B03R • Write it down, keep it, and type it back in after a reset or on a second watch • Send it to a friend and they get your exact panel • A mistyped code is rejected outright, and your current setup is left untouched • The code lives in the settings on your phone, and on the watch itself FIVE THEMES • Signal orange, Phosphor green, Amber, Ice blue • Daylight: black on white, built for bright sun and memory-in-pixel screens • Each theme repaints the whole panel, gauges and brackets included BUILT FOR THE SCREEN IT RUNS ON • On AMOLED watches with burn-in protection, the always-on screen drops the gauges entirely and keeps only the right-aligned time in soft grey, shifted a few pixels every minute to protect the display • On memory-in-pixel watches, seconds keep counting in low power when the watch grants the power budget for it, and fall back to "--" instead of freezing when it does not • Hairlines and greys are tuned separately for AMOLED and memory-in-pixel, so the panel stays readable in direct sun as well as in the dark SET IT UP WHEREVER YOU ARE • Full settings on the watch itself: theme, main metric, data slots, options • The same settings in Garmin Connect, plus the setup code field • Units follow your watch by default, or force Metric or Statute • Enhanced Readability Mode is respected: fonts are measured at runtime, so the layout adjusts itself instead of overlapping HONEST ABOUT THE EDGES • Gauge 3 is hidden on smaller screens, so two gauges remain readable instead of three cramped ones • Sunrise/sunset needs weather data on the watch, stress needs a watch that reports it, and heading needs an active heading. Without them the slot shows "--" • Everything runs on the watch. No account, no ads, no subscription GETTING STARTED Sync once with the Garmin Connect app, then choose SITREP as your watch face on the watch: hold MENU on the current face, or go to Settings and pick a watch face from the list. To change the panel, open the same watch face menu on the watch, or open Garmin Connect on your phone: your device, then Connect IQ Apps, then Watch Faces, then SITREP. Supports 60 watch models.
