See your aerobic durability drift in real time with live power-heart-rate decoupling on your Edge.
Decouple watches the relationship between your power and your heart rate, and shows you when it starts to break. Early in a steady effort your heart tracks your power. As you fatigue, your heart rate climbs to hold the same watts — that's decoupling, and it's one of the clearest live signals of aerobic durability. Decouple surfaces it on your Edge while you ride, not after.
Three things at a glance:
Power number — colour-coded to your zone
Heart rate number — colour-coded to its zone
Drift scale — how far your efficiency has drifted from your baseline this effort
The two coloured numbers give you an instant read on zonal discordance — the same thing you'd eyeball from two separate zone bars, in one field. The drift scale adds what those bars can't: a baselined measure of whether your heart rate is creeping up for the power you're holding.
How it reads the drift:
Green, near zero — coupled, heart rate is tracking your power
Amber — drifting, efficiency is starting to fade
Red — decoupled, you're working harder to hold the same watts
Honest by design. Decoupling only means something during steady effort, so Decouple won't fake a number when the data won't support one:
Waiting for steady effort — no sustained effort to measure yet
Baseline in M:SS — a steady effort detected, building your reference
Solid marker — a confident reading; hollow marker — indicative, treat as a guide

Pace long efforts — spot the fade before your legs tell you
Build durability — watch your Z2 hold coupled for longer over a block
Read fatigue — decoupling earlier than usual is a flag
Ride honest — the field only speaks when the effort is steady enough to trust
Two essentials to enter once:
FTP — your functional threshold power, for the power zones
LTHR — your lactate threshold heart rate, for the heart rate zones

Built on efficiency factor and aerobic decoupling — normalised power over heart rate, the same method used in TrainingPeaks and WKO. Power zones use the Coggan 7-zone model; heart rate zones use the 5-zone LTHR model. Numbers and strips scale to fit your field.
