About

A simple unified data field showing various information you might need out on your run. Snapshot Two has an identical partner field, Snapshot One, found here: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/f34a6b64-d23a-4764-b494-3458ca9efe2b. With both installed you can set up two screens with different Snapshot information, providing you with additional ways to customise your watch. The top 4 fields allow you to select from: distance, current pace, lap pace[*], average pace, heart rate, average heart rate, cadence, and average cadence. The bottom field shows either the timer or total time (i.e. pauses ignored), with the option to additionally see time-of-day and battery percent. All fonts are deliberately large enough to read while out running (for me at least). The background colours are customisable in a way that I find helps visibility and looks better with the backlight. [*] Garmin doesn't provide access to lap pace so I calculate it based on a user-specified recurring lap distance. This may or may not match the lap/interval alerts you have set on your watch. There's currently no way for Snapshot to know that information unfortunately. I've deliberately kept this app free, but if you find it useful and want to support me as a small independent developer, please consider contributing 1USD/EUR: https://www.paypal.me/darrencroton/1eur (write "Snapshot Two" into the optional note at checkout so i know which app you're showing appreciation for). Thanks! -----While you're here checkout my other apps----- * Snapshot Analog (watch face): A clean elegant watch face that shows a heart rate graph of your last 4 hours: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/20b5e4c9-382c-429d-91fa-199869c4777b * Snapshot HR (data field): Scrolling HR graph plus info: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/7f398bbb-43a8-4fc7-a1b0-01c6121ce7d9 * Snapshot Resting HR (application): Record and chart your resting HR each day: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/822d7f34-33d7-438c-8d03-01cd1affbb75 ----------------------------------------------------------- *** IF YOU’RE HAVING PROBLEMS PLEASE DON’T LEAVE A BAD REVIEW - I CAN’T HELP YOU HERE. This field is a labour of love that I wrote for myself that i’m happy to make available in the store for others to use. I can fix bugs and consider enhancements if you contact me through the Garmin Forum at: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?353131-Data-field-Snapshot *** The code for Snapshot is publicly available at https://github.com/darrencroton/Snapshot. KNOWN BUGS: + If you quickly switch between the field, then watch face, then field again, some of the settings don't load in time and Snapshot crashes. Just go back to the activity screen settings and add Snapshot back; it will work again no problem. If you don't jump back and forth between the watch face and activity screen quickly you won't have an issue. As soon as i can figure out the fix i'll implement it and update. + Some people have reported that changing the settings through Garmin Connect Mobile causes Snapshot to crash. I'm unable to reproduce this behaviour and so am at a bit of a loss as to why it's happening (might be a corrupted settings file on your watch). I've been told that changing the settings through Garmin Express works fine though.
