About

BallastManager is weight and balance for radio-controlled slope and F3F gliders, worked out on your wrist while you load the model. It is a tool for the slope, not for full-size aircraft and not for flight. SET A MODEL UP ONCE Empty weight, balance point, wing area, and the ballast tubes it carries — up to twelve models with ten tubes each. Lead, steel, brass and tungsten mix freely, with a capacity and a slug weight per tube. AT THE SLOPE Count slugs in and out and watch wing loading, mass and centre of gravity move as you go. Wing loading is the big number and turns red above 75 g/dm². The centre of gravity reads against a band that is green forward and red aft, so you can see at a glance whether the model is where you want it before you throw it. SHARING Send a model to a friend's watch with a QR code and a six-character code. Importing one is the only thing in the app that touches the network. OFFLINE It reads no sensor and needs no signal at the slope. Everything you enter stays on the watch. REQUIREMENTS No barometer, no GPS and no phone while you fly. A phone running Garmin Connect is needed twice: once to activate, and whenever you import a model somebody has shared. It runs on Garmin watches and Edge units with a colour screen, driven by buttons or by touch — Venu, vívoactive and Approach included. SAFETY It cannot weigh your model or find its balance point. Both are measurements you must make yourself, and the numbers it gives you are only as good as the ones you put in. Check the balance of any model before you fly it. Install it free from the Connect IQ Store and fly it for 14 days before you decide. Entering the licence code once, online, ties it to this watch, and everything runs offline after that. No account, no subscription. Licence, manual and support: https://shop.cubio.no/bm
