Core Temperature

This data field displays your estimated core body temperature. An external sensor is not required for Garmin watches. Other similar apps on the Garmin Connect IQ store are intended for core temperature estimate during physical activity. This app uses an improved algorithm which gives accurate results during rest and daily activities as well as during vigorous exercise under hot and humid conditions. It does not depend (entirely) on the watch temperature sensor, thus may also be suitable for swimming activities. There is a poor correlation between wrist skin temperature and core body temperature, especially during moderate and intense physical activity.
