About

SEG7 by BIT60 SEG7 is a retrofuturistic Garmin watch face built around a fixed instrument view. A large digital clock sits at the center of a structured layout that combines a world map, solar information, two configurable data fields, and a lower heart rate or step instrument. The design is focused on clear information density, predictable placement, and a consistent visual language across supported Garmin displays. Configurable Data Fields The two large data fields can be configured independently. By default, SEG7 shows steps on the left and battery percentage on the right. Each field can display Off, Steps, Heart Rate, Calories, Distance, Floors, Intensity Minutes, Battery Percentage, Battery Days, Solar, Date, Second Time Zone, Sunrise, Sunset, Notifications, Weather, Temperature, or Next Solar Event. When a value is unavailable or unsupported by the device, SEG7 displays two dots instead of inventing data. Lower Instrument The lower section can display one of three instruments. Absolute heart rate history is the default after a new installation or reset. Heart rate history with a resting heart rate reference adds additional context. Step progress shows your current steps in relation to your daily goal. Heart rate history uses Garmin Sensor History and can fall back to activity data when available. Missing or temporarily unavailable history remains empty rather than being replaced with estimated values. World Map and Solar View SEG7 uses the current or most recently known device position supplied by Garmin. It does not start its own GPS search. A solid marker represents a reliable position. When only an approximate location is available, the map uses a distinct approximation marker. Separate home coordinates can be stored as a fallback. Device position updates do not overwrite or remove them. Sunrise and sunset are integrated into a complete 24 hour solar scale with day and night shading. The scale also handles daylight intervals that cross local midnight correctly. Time and Display Options A manual second time zone can be configured with a UTC offset from minus 720 to plus 840 minutes and a custom three character code. Seconds can be enabled or disabled during MIP low power mode. SEG7 includes dedicated layouts for monochrome MIP, color MIP, and AMOLED displays. AMOLED devices also receive a reduced Always on view with periodically shifted elements. Geometry and typography are adapted for the supported display families rather than simply scaling one layout across every device. Languages and Efficiency SEG7 supports English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Caching and lazy loading reduce unnecessary requests for sensor, weather, and position data. SEG7 uses Garmin's standard power profile and is designed around one complete instrument view rather than multiple pages or modes. ## More from BIT60 Visit https://bit60.de/ for more information, setup instructions, and news about upcoming BIT60 watch faces.
