Drew's Intervals
· v15.9
About
Full integration with Stryd. Storage of power and all other metrics on Connect IQ and import into Power Centre.
This CIQ app works with Today's Plan from the watch or device and with TrainingPeaks using an Android companion app. You can also create your own workouts using a simple workout syntax. If you are using the Android companion app ensure this is updated to the latest version to use with this updated app.

This is an app that supports complex interval training. It is streets ahead of any competing apps at present including the CIQ TrainingPeaks app. It is targeted at improving athletes who train in a structured way. There are many options to enable you to create and use workouts. One is to receive a workout from the Today's Plan website with the hard work already done. You can also build your own workouts using a simple workout syntax. See the simple example below. You can choose to use popular bases for your workout zones with metrics such as heart rate, power, pace or speed. Examples would be those of Joe Friel, Jim Vance, Matt Fitzgerald and Stryd.
An example of a simple workout with a warmup, six intervals and recoveries followed by a cool down:
min run pw [5, 1-2] + 6 * ( [5, 4-5] + [2, 1-2] ) + [5, 1-2]
This example shows a run with phases that are time based (min) using power as the metric defined by zones or zone ranges in range 1-5 either user defined or using commonly used schemes. The permutations and complexity are limited by your imagination and personal requirements.
Here is the manual explaining basic use of the app http://drewshardlow.com/
What's new
Hopefully fixed the issue with Stryd Wind where the GCT did not display.
Added support for Fenix 6 devices
Added wind power value for new Stryd foot pod.
Fixed issue that some users were having with old Stryd metrics.
Improved tone alerts, countdown to interval and different tones for above or below training zone.
Added a back to start screen, distance shown in preferred unit, metric or statute.
Added a new (experimental) view to find optimal efficiency in relation to cadence. This requires measurement of running or cycling power. Let me know if it works (or not) for you. The idea is to find your own optimal cadence rather than chasing a value that works for elites and may not for you.
Cursor in workout overview moves through each phase to indicate progress.
Stronger vibration, minor aesthetic tweaks.
Should now work with FR945, Marq devices and the Vivoactive 3 and Stryd.
Seems to work (on the sim) with the old Vivoactive HR so with a Stryd pod you could have running with power! Don't tell anyone.
Works with Edge Bontrager
Went back to original cross hair idea in which it uses the whole watch face, even though it is round. No attempt to square the circle so to speak!
Stryd integration! Connects directly to Stryd foot pod for interval running with power and stores power and all their other metrics in Garmin Connect and in Stryd Power Centre.
I have added a new view with scrolling workout blocks with graph of historic values overlaid on top (rather like the Wattbike Hub)
Changed function of lap key in workout - now advances to next phase.
