RuuviGuard - motion alarm - test it please
· v1.0
About
RuuviGuard transforms your Garmin device into a motion-triggered alarm. It reads BLE packets from a RuuviTag (link below), and when motion is detected, the app triggers an alarm (vibration, sound).
Use case: Are you riding a bike without a phone, but with a RuuviTag attached? Need to stop for a quick coffee but have no lock? Launch RuuviGuard and get notified on your wrist if someone messes with your bike while you are nearby.
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON THIS APP TO PROTECT HEALTH, LIFE, OR VALUABLE PROPERTY. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALWAYS TEST THE SENSITIVITY FIRST. REMEMBER THAT A MOBILE PHONE WITH THE OFFICIAL RUUVI APP IS A MORE ROBUST SOLUTION, AND A GOOD PHYSICAL LOCK IS ALWAYS THE BEST WAY TO KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS SECURE. THE BLUETOOTH SIGNAL MAY BE UNRELIABLE AT LONGER DISTANCES, BEHIND WALLS, OR IN CROWDED PLACES.
Usage:
1) Setup: Enter the MAC address of your tag and adjust the sensitivity threshold in the Connect IQ app settings on your phone.
2) Connect: Launch the app on your watch. When a packet is received, the small dot on the display pulses.
3) Arm: Press the GPS/Start button to start guarding.
4) Alarm: If the RuuviTag moves, the watch or bike computer will beep and vibrate aggressively.
5) Disarm/Exit: Press GPS/Start to disarm the alarm. Press Back to exit the app.
Note: This is not an official Ruuvi app. Ruuvi is a trademark of Ruuvi Innovations Ltd. This app is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ruuvi Innovations.
Check out the RuuviReader data field too! It logs temperature, pressure, and humidity directly into your activities: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/1a5d9de7-0db2-423b-8328-ba5d689b6d06
